One simple amendment that could ensure we never have to suffer through another horrendous administration like the one we have right now:

A panel of intersectionality and social justice scholars from each state shall have the opportunity to veto by a simple majority any president chosen by the electoral college deemed to be too bigoted for the office, and replaced with the winner of the second-highest number of electoral votes

Imagine the America we could have if it weren't so hard to change the sacred "kawnstitution" given to us by the right wing's great founding father gods on Mount Olympus.

Getting rid of the EC would work, too.

That's the stupidest thing, ever...lol

Don't we already have one of those....the House of Reps?

People continually get upset and want the constitution changed to make their lives better. But the constitution is one of the things that's helped each of us become what we are today and allowed the US to be the greatest country on the planet. If you're not happy, it's not the constitution, it's you.

That's a terrible idea. You're better off just trying to get rid of the EC.

I would also suggest that we reserve seats in congress for Black people and Native Americans, similarly to how New Zealand reserves parliament seats for the Maori. This would help to guarantee a certain degree of representation for minorities in America.

I have no love for Trump, but I also have no love for SJW's...

They are being called "scholars" now? :doh

I thank God everyday because they wrote the Constitution (note correct spelling) they way they did. The worst thing I can imagine is if it were so easy to change that every group could arbitrarily rewrite any part they didn’t happen to like at the moment.
If it really needs changing, enough of us can change it, just the way it was intended.

That's illegal.

Well ****! Why even bother with elections? Why don't we just have a committee of the most "woke" mother****ers in America pick the president?

They made a way to change the constitution if there was great need.
unfortunately we have a justice system that has taken the duty of changing the constitution on themselves vs through the amendment process.
that is what is 100% the most dangerous thing ever done.

We have seen it happen multiple times under the Roberts court. which is a travesty of not only justice but is unconstitutional.
The judicial has 0 power to change the constitution. yet the do it all the time by making up **** that doesn't exist.

Getting rid of the EC would work, too.

not necessarily,
what should happen is get rid of all the " winner take all " states
as it is now most states are "winner take all " this means that if a state has just 1 more person vote for one candidate over the other almost one half of the states pop. votes might as well not been cast
now if it was counted by Congressional districts , one dist. one vote , ex if a state has 27 Congressional dist. and as it is now if 14 of them vote for one person all the votes go to that person, if it was by dist. then the 13 dist.that voted the " lesser " candidate would get those votes and the " Winner " would get 14 votes
this way every bodies vote is counted
and seeing there are 2 votes every state gets they could go to the " winner " of that state

yes as it is now if there are say 1 million voters in a state and one candidate gets 500,001 votes that candidate get all their states votes , so the 499,999 other voters of that state are not having their votes go to the person they wanted
Keep the EC but not as it is now " winner take all " but congressional dist.
Have a nice day

This is one of the worst and non-actionable ideas imaginable, and ultimately creates a quagmire for the Courts to deal with on a likely challenge in both the areas of who makes up this panel by qualification and to legally define the term bigoted.

Sorry, but that would be an absolutely horrendous law. How are you going to decide who qualifies as a social justice scholar and what is to prevent bigots from just calling themselves that?

The correct solution to your problem is to have all elections for federal office and governorships run by Ranked Choice Voting.

That's illegal.

It should be made legal. In fact, I would go further, and assign each seat in congress to a specific racial group, so that the proportions of senators and representatives from each race match up to their percentage of the total American population. Similarly to how the number of House seats are assigned to each state by population.

Find a recent red/blue map of the states. Start counting red states. Stop when you get to 13.

It's racial discrimination. There's no rational reason to make it legal.

LOL. Social justice? Really? No one can be president anymore unless they pass the social justice qualification test by liberal scholars? And you accuse Trump of wanting to be a dictator?

my guess is that only blue states would participate in a program like that, making it even harder for Democrats to win.

Until it don't and then you'll be screaming that we need the EC, again. :lamo

This is very likely the result.

The whole Black-Power-BLM-Salute or be beaten thang, has shown to all Working-Whites, that the Democratic Party no longer represents them in any way... and they are 64% of the population.

The Post-Obama Democratic Party has forever lost the Working-White Vote.

Without the EC, and with White Bloc Voting their racial interests at 85+% against Democrats, getting rid of the EC will make it even more likely that Democrats cannot win any National Office. And only a few state offices.

Due to Over-reaching, Racial-Hatred-filled, Identity Politics, the Democratic Party is dead, it just doesn't know it yet.

Dumbest idea I've ever heard of.
