So far it has been near impossible for inmates to escape Comrade Starmer's Labour Gulag. It happened today. Councillor Mason Humberston of Stevenage, Hertfordshire, was absent for roll call. Other Labour defectors in the past had usually sought asylum in other leftist gulags like the Greens. Councillor Humberston kept going and did not stop until he had reached England's last bastion of freedom, the Reform UK.

Councillor Humberston's defection is a first. There have been other defections, but his is the first direct Labour to Reform UK defection. Chalk up another win for Farage.

Good move.

I'd much rather be in a reformatory than a gulag, and I'm sure you feel the same.

The fascists are having a moment.

Maybe now he will show up.

Humberston's fealty to Obama is disturbing, but I am hopeful a few rounds of shock-therapy will be helpful, and unlike a reformatory, one can't receive shock-therapy in a gulag.

Gulags don't even dispense aspirins!

The young Councillor does bring a dash of colour to an otherwise milky white Reform UK. Mason Humberston, in an interview in 2016, fingered Obama as a role model. Reform UK may be a big tent party. It's not clear if it's a party with clearly defined ideologies. It seems more like a movement. A wave

Humberston is a surfer . As are all politicians. It is surfers that look for the wave. A wave may come to a surfer, but that will be a long wait. Like any good surfer Humberston has gone after the wave

When I was 35 or so, I had another go at college, and there I became friends with a surfer. He encouraged me to go surfing with him, told me he'd show me the ropes, and I thought about it, but every few weeks he'd show up with a giant raspberry on his forehead or a pronounced limp or an arm in a sling, and when I queried him, they were surfing injuries, so, considering my rather advanced age, I decided not to learn to surf.

After graduation, a group of us got together to celebrate, but the surfer didn't attend the party. That's where I learned the surfer's wife was rather violent and that the injuries weren't from surfing but from beatings instead.

If I was still drinking, I'd risk leaving the U.S. just to buy you drinks.

This is apparently a guy who just fails to attend Council meetings. What is with Reform and lazy people?

He says Labour isn't working for ordinary hardworking people, so he's decided to join a party created and led by a private-school educated former commodities broker multimillionaire who's policies prioritise the wealthy and big business.

I was briefly on a UK based politics forum which was almost exclusively Reform supporters. Many of whom were openly racist and some I strongly believe were actual neo Nazis.

Some of the comments I saw from them were real eye openers. A few that stuck in my mind were:

Anders Breivik had the right idea.

Only white British people should be able to hold high office.

People arriving on small boats should be sunk at sea and shouldn't be rescued.

And I bet many of them are proud EDL members too.

Oh big Tommy Robinson supporters. I didn't hang around on that forum for very long.
