One month after the court says the coach can lead a prayer

What Muslim state has been importing millions of poor Christians? If you can’t think of the answer, then why should Muslims be given the same courtesy?

No, in fact it doesn’t.

Just say you want atheistic Socialism.

Lol
Well, at least you are honest about being Christian Nationalist hellbent on making the US a theocracy. Coming to a FEMA camp near you soon right?
Well then you get what you get in schools run by the government.

Smile and say thank you for the privilege.

What the “government” decides is good/bad/acceptable/not changes by the decade in the US.

I guess that’s what kids in public education deserve?

Give it 10-15 years. I truly think those clamoring against vouchers currently will be wishing they stood on the side of vouchers now.
The government forces no one to attend public schools it's a choice by the parents. Children are compelled get an education. If Christians do not want to send their kids to public schools that is their choice. No one is stopping anyone from attending private schools or being homeschooled.

Christians want to make all schools Christian ran schools. They cannot legally do that in public schools with the Constitution not allowing it. So Christians want to end public schools so they can not be barred from spreading their bullshit to children.

Eh…that depends on the state. It is much easier to homeschool in some states than others.

Irrespective of states, the government forces everyone to PAY for public education.

That’s the crux of the issue.

Great political analysis
Well, that is what the SCOTUS ruling will allow. Just wait until so labeled "militant atheists" get some ideas. Christians are going to think a lot differently about this ruling. My guess is that it will outrage them as different religious groups wiggle their way into public schools. If Christians are a minority in any given school district they are going to be shit out of luck. Christian Nationalists are real militants. I expect violence in short order.

Eh…”militant atheists” might just be the next voices at BOE meetings.

When the crowds are shouting about prayers, moments of silence and reflection…I imagine the “voucher” crowd might grow in ranks.

Currently the “militant atheists” are content. So they’re completely ok with public education because it doesn’t impact their personal beliefs.

If religious zealots would stop using public schools, we would spend less money on them.

Of course Christians want to do what they project atheists do.

The religious whack-jobs are seeking to broaden it.

We knew this was coming, although our resident conservatives denied it, as did their public spokespeople.

You guys wanna explain this, since you swore it wouldn't happen?
who the hell you talking to? School prayer used to be a standard thing, but if you hate it so much, hopefully it keeps the lefties from moving to red states, since that's what you'll be dealing with.

Teacher-led prayers* in public schools are coming. Get ready.

* By conservative Christians only.
Home school then. There. Fixed a non issue for you.

No, it does not
You said:

"No, in fact it doesn’t"

IT is amazing how you just openly say you hate America.
Non sequitur.
Only Christians are entiteled to the First Amendment?
Largely, some other mainstream religions and maybe Native American indigenous practices are protected
IT Just does Not...No Establishment of Religion...

How hard is this to comprehend my dude?
Not hard at all, the establishment clause refers specifically to the federal government establishing a national church like exists in Denmark or England. That’s all it means
You hate the First Amendment...

You hate Jefferson WHO wrote to the Baptists of Danbury in Conneticut....there shall BE a Wall Of Seperation between the curch and the state...
Jefferson is overrated, but it’s clear you didn’t read the letter other then the one line you quoted, because Connecticut at the time had a state Congregationalist church directly supported with taxpayer money and Jefferson never mentions this in the letter.

Good, the government forces no one, so you can take your kid and homeschool him if you want him indoctrinated in wierd atheistic nonsense. For now.
Christians want to make all schools Christian ran schools. They cannot legally do that in public schools with the Constitution not allowing it.
The constitution does not say that

Christianity is true, it’s secularism that’s false

I don’t think employers are thrilled about vouchers.

Because they’re gonna have applicants that believe 2+2=Jesus. That humans co existed with dinosaurs.

Why are you deflecting from the thread topic?

Too late, GA, is blue, more to come

From your OP:

A Michigan superintendent is pondering whether coaches should lead students in pregame prayer. A school board member in Florida wants her district to teach students about prayer and offer religious studies. In Hawaii, the leader of a faith- and family-focused activism group sees a path to altering a state policy that says public-school employees cannot initiate prayer on campus.

This identifies individuals who would like or who are thinking about something. It is not identifying things that are actually happening.

No, you don't like Jefferson but he existed so he also spoke and wrote. Here is a letter from Jefferson, consider it his best attempt to tell you to stop bastardizing his work from beyond the grave:

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.

-Thomas Jefferson

I am curious about many republicans here - not all, but many decided they believed the constitution should be reinterpreted suddenly. How do you square that in your head? "Ah yes, now I see what I have been trying to think for 60 years..." ???

Let's leave everything to the states. Electoral college? To the states. That will be a mess, but it's meant for the states so too bad.

Moreover, if someone doesn’t want to participate in a prayer… don’t participate. It doesn’t hurt you if others pray. It doesn’t impact you at all.

I’ve never understood these militant graceless joyless atheists. I just sleep in on Sundays; let the religious do their thing, bygones be bygones.

And you know, those militias look like idiots with a bunch of AR 15s thinking they'll hold their own against a tyrannical government with nuclear weapons. Goodbye guns, right? No need for them, if some tyrannical government is coming wake me up lol. Also, why do people HAVE to say things? Newspapers are getting old, let's stop printing them. We don't have to speak. What a waste of energy. And only men should be voting, really. Men choose to not get pregnant.

That sounds like the way we should think about the law. More or less

I don’t concur with the idea that someone else praying somehow diminishes your freedom of religion. If you were required under penalty to participate or feign participation, sure, but that’s not the case.
