First example: Romans 11

But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in their place to share the richness[a] of the olive tree, 18 do not boast over the branches. If you do boast, remember it is not you that support the root, but the root that supports you. 19 You will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast only through faith. So do not become proud, but stand in awe. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off.

And Hebrews 6

For it is impossible[c] to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they then commit apostasy

Even Calvin in his commentaries never dealt with the phrase "partakers of the Holy Spirit" in his commentaries. You can go check for yourself.

Finally you'll say I only need faith. Sure, but then ask your wife if she thinks you've been faithful after you cheat on her.

Once saved always saved is nonsense. Christ commanded us to be perfect. So do it. That's what grace is for, to give us the means to actually be perfect.

I agree that salvation is a daily process that can indeed be lost but when Christ told us to be perfect, it's important to examine the Greek meaning of perfect, since all humans are sinful, we were born in sin and we shall die in sin, in this world...

The Greek term used here can mean “complete,” “mature,” or it can mean “faultless” according to standards set by an authority. Only Jehovah is perfect in an absolute sense, so when the term is applied to humans, it describes relative perfection. In this context, “perfect” refers to the completeness of a Christian’s love for Jehovah God and for fellow humans, something that is possible, even though a person is sinful.
