I have said before that if Trump wins the nomination he will tack to the left for the general election. He has already started doing that with regards to taxes. While Clinton is most likely going to win the Democratic nomination she can't quite tack right yet because she wants to do as well as possible in the upcoming primaries. But once she has the nomination I am certain she will swing hard to the right.

I think there is a strong possibility that, on some issues, they will actually pass each other. I think Trump will pick up Bernie's rallying call of getting money out of politics and Hillary may end up being more conservative regarding taxes or bank regulations. What do you think?

I think you may be close to the truth and would only add that trump will lean to the left simply because that is what he is, a Leftie and that no matter how far left he leans his brainless followers will make excuses for it or ignore it as thy have since he entered the race. Yes, even Republican Leaders see that between the two Hillary is far more Conservative than trump and that for the best interests of the Nation everything possible should be done to ensure that the "pretend conservative" never sits in the Oval Office.

As for the Debates I have the feeling trump will gets his arse handed to him by Hillary, when it is just the two of them on the stage people will see which is Presidential and which is a Charlatan, but as we see one cannot ever underestimate the stupidity of some voters.

I think deep down inside that evil woman lurks the heart of a true centrist. I see her moving slightly to the right, and if she wins, I suspect she will govern like her husband did - in the middle.

Both candidates are cynical opportunists, but both are fundamentally authoritarian in their worldview. Or let's say "anti-libertarian" in the broadest sense.

I have the feeling that Trump will take very "liberal" (i.e. socialist) positions on most issues that actually matter, and actually stick to his anti-trade, anti-immigration stand.

Hillary will differ in a good way on immigration (political demographics outweighing the impulse to control and loyalty to the union base), but on the other hand will be more of a crony-capitalist enabler, and probably more interventionist abroad (which may be good or bad, depending on situation).

Trump has tacked left on Trade, Minimum Wage, and Taxes. Additionally, he will likely tack left to attack her on foreign policy, money-in-politics, will attempt to attack Hillary's treatment of her husbands' victims.
