Oil slick poses political peril for Obama

henry waxman!

a political investigation!

LOL!

there ya go

THIS is what passes for ACTION from "leadership" these days

pathetic

Less than a week from when Obama announces offshore drilling we have the biggest explosion and oil release in the history of the Gulf, and possibly the worst in the history of the country.

I don't usually buy into conspiracy crap, but the timing seems a bit odd. Does anyone else think that environmentalists could be behind this, somehow?

I don't know, I'm just not sure.

either way, obama's declaration to drill ROBS him of this issue

he's as diligent an advocate for drilling, on record, as drill-baby herself

LOL!

No. What's pathetic is those who cry "gov't stay out of my business and that of the free enterprise system" one minute then crying "you didn't respond fast enough to a man-made disaster" the next.

Naturally assuming BP is to blame, at the moment there is some doubt whether BP are solely to blame.
Haliburton has been mentioned.
So the great Messiah blames the first name that comes to mind, whereas a more reasoned person might decide that after the mess has been cleaned up (as much as is possible) an inquiry would decide just who is to blame.

It's no longer possible for me to take your posts seriously.

who could possibly care?

Does Obama have specialized "oil slick assessment" skills? Jesus Christ. This country is becoming ridiculous.

Hell! Where was the "support: for President Bush whe Katrina hit?? Oh but I forgot, he wasn't "your" guy so you spewed the vitriol to your heart's content!

I voted for him twice and consistently defended him at the time. In fact, I still don't blame him for Katrina. I blame the local, corrupt politicians and the governor of Louisiana.

Do you want to try again?

See what happens when you ASSume?

Well said!

There is nothing Obama can do right enough for some folks. If he was out in the gulf, skimming oil, they'd say he was grand standing and leveraging a crisis for his own gain.

I am someone from the south, and live near the gulf of Mexico. I don't need Obama here to distract people from doing their jobs in getting this mess cleaned up. The thing is no body is going to be happy with Obama when he does something right, so in turn is lessen the real criticisms of him.

and a month from now when the entire gulf is goo he'll go to NEW HAMPSHIRE to tell another group of kids that what this country needs to focus on TODAY is right wing extremists bent on violence

I too didn't blame him for Katrina after I got more information about it instead of going to the Mass Media. I blame the mayor of New Orleans, and the politicians for not telling their people to leave when they need too. It funny people assume that we all blamed bush for Katrina when in fact we blame Louisiana politicians for being idiots...
