An Ohio woman who miscarried on the toilet then left will not be criminally charged for her handling of a home miscarriage.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio woman facing a criminal charge for her handling of a home miscarriage will not be charged, a grand jury decided Thursday.

The Trumbull County prosecutor’s office said grand jurors declined to return an indictment for abuse of a corpse against Brittany Watts, 34, of Warren, resolving a case that had sparked national attention for its implications for pregnant women as states across the country hash out new laws governing reproductive health care access.

The announcement came hours before her supporters planned a “We Stand With Brittany!” rally on Warren’s Courthouse Square.

This sort of stuff is fair warning to all Americans that they get what they deserve when they vote. If they want to vote for nutcase religious authoritarians, don't be surprised when they do nutcase religious authority stuff. There are people who simply believe in God and follow a normal life considerate of others, and then there are those who believe that they must enforce their crazy beliefs on everyone else, and that they have the God given right to do that. Don't demonize the first, but the second are a growing evil among todays Republicans.
