And yet he may well win.

The National Republican Congressional Committee is wasting no time targeting Charles A. Wilson Jr., a Democratic write-in candidate for the 6th Congressional District, one of the few open U.S. House seats in the country.

Wilson's "questionable past" includes his concerns about how the dumping of raw sewage into the Ohio River more than a decade ago would impact his political career, said Ed Patru, an NRCC spokesman.

The FAVORED candidated of the Ohio Democratic Party couldn't get FIFTY signatures on a petition in order to get on the ballot...

If that doesn't tell you something about the state of the Democratic party, I don't know what does...

If it contradicts what the particular Democrat preached, such as environmental issues, then this case should be investigated to the fullest potential.

If not, do it anyways, if it turns out it's true, it'll make him look horrible.

Yeah, the write-in candidate. Oh brother.
The funny thing is that the NRA endorsed him. Now I'm sure I don't like him!
You?

He's not JUST the write-in candidate, he's actually the favored choice of the party.
Wilson, of St. Clairsville, a state senator, is running as a Democratic write-in candidate for the 6th Congressional District after failing to get the required 50 valid signatures from registered voters on his nominating petitions to be on the May Democratic primary ballot.

There are two Democrats whose names will appear on the ballot. But Wilson is expected to spend whatever amount of money it takes to win the primary and has the support of the Ohio Democratic Party.
So don't write him off as some fring lunatic. This is your party's choice for that seat.

When you quote something it usually helps to have a source. Do you have one?

The source is the same one as the original post...You know...the very SAME ONE you responded to in Post #4?...

Sounds like you had a kneejerk defensive reaction without having the wherewithall to scroll up and see for yourself...

Did you even read the article you responded to or did you see the term "Dem" and your eyes glazed over?...

Good job *cough* professor...

David Skolnick is a moron for writing such garbled crap. The NRCC spokesman is clearly trying to lay the smack down on Wilson for dumping raw sewage in the Ohio River, but this sentence almost makes it sound like Patru was defending him.
