The gop's war on florida's citizens continues with the pulling of this boner. Apparently the republican controlled legislature thinks it's a good idea to start using radioactive materials in road building. More than 1 billion tons of radioactive waste are already stored in 25 stacks in Florida called gypstacks. The gop's solution to big business polluting florida's waters, let's spread the radioactive fertilizer on the roads for all to enjoy. The only folks I see winning are big agriculture, everyone else can endure red tides and algae blooms.

This is the power of big agriculture in flori-duh. They've been polluting florida's waterways for decades and now they want to spread radioactive waste into our roadways. Who could possibly think this is a good idea?
 

It's cheap (spelled "free" in Florida) so it would benefit road building contractors too.

Mixed with tar, it might be fairly stable. But still, the phosphate miners should pay their own externalities.

Because radioactive slag from phosphate mining is good stuff, right? The phosphate miners might even be paying to get rid of it, and what says "good" more clearly than "costs less than nothing" right?

IQ57, says it all in my opinion. Less than worthless, adds nothing legitimate to most discussions. He's a fisherman, trolling for a bite.

Here is what states like Florida have to look forward to:
- No teachers
- No libraries
- Maybe No gynecologists and probably no pediatricians unless somebody thinks the Florida legislature and Little Ronnie DeSantis are going to stop where they are
- half the state underwater and the rest on stilts
- little enclaves of the uber-rich. At least they won't have to build motes around their communities. I think Florida has that much figured out. The motes will just be there
- a snarl of "stand your ground" court activity that will have the court system so bogged down that people will finally be asking, who the hell had this bright idea in the first place

Who remembers DDT?
Trucks used to go through neighborhoods spraying it on a regular basis.
People didn't think it was harmful.
It was used in agriculture too.
That was in the 50s until the early 70s.
Then the cancer clusters started.
Then the bald eagles started to die.
It was found to be highly carcinogenic and toxic.
We stopped using it in the early 70s.
Today, in 2023, the residue of it is still found in the soil of Eastern Washington. It's being found in the products grown on the land and farmers have learned they can no longer grow on that land.
It's also still killing birds of prey
Then there's thalidomide
Who can forget the cancer from asbestos?
How long was led in our paint, water pipes and crystal poisoning people?
The government said the air at ground zero from 9-11 was safe too. That was another lie.
Who believes that the environment in East Palestine is clean and safe from that railroad accident?
When will Americans learn?
