NEW ORLEANS – Gaffe-prone BP Chief Executive Tony Hayward — who incensed many on the Gulf Coast by saying he wanted his life back as they struggled with the fallout from the company's massive oil spill — will be replaced, a senior U.S. government official said Sunday.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because an announcement had not been made, was briefed on the decision by a senior BP official late last week.

Looks like Tony Hayward will be getting his life back after all. Too bad we can't say the same for the shrimpers and fishermen of Louisiana who were directly affected by the spill. Many of them won't be getting their lives back for quite a while.

Tony Hayward's replacement? Robert Dudley, an American. Looks like BP wants to share their upcoming fiscal misery with America now. Or maybe it's payback for the Revolutionary war. LOL.

It wont happen till October. As for replacing him with an American.. as long as he can do his job as well as Hayward did pre spill.

I doubt Haywood is being replaced over the Spill, although that in itself has not helped.
I believe he will be replaced because of his (Public) reactions as a result of the spill.
He obviously has a deficiency in use of PR, which fact will inevitably be his downfall.

They are hoping to participate in our Government bailouts if they start going south.
