She would have qualified for welfare had her income been a mere $119,000.
CBS) - "Octomom" Nadya Suleman is being accused of committing welfare fraud in Los Angeles County and may face jail time if convicted, according to a TMZ report. TMZ reported Wednesday that the L.A. County Dept. of Welfare Fraud Prevention and Investigation received an allegation that the 37-year-old mother of 14 is collecting various forms of welfare, including food stamps.
Under California law, Suleman can collect welfare for her and her 14 children if she makes less than $119,000 in a calendar year. But as of 2012, she made nearly $200,000, TMZ reported.
She would have qualified for welfare had her income been a mere $119,000.
