A few weeks ago Obama told his people to get out and get in the face of those opposed to his impending rule, here is how two people chose to follow his orders.

Had this been McCain folks doing this to an Obama HQ well.. I think we'd see more then the local story on it.

:spin: added for emphasis.

Obama's Original message:

“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face."

Much different from:
"Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."

If I had to bet which one would likely incite violence, I'd choose the second one in a post-9/11 world.

Not spin, it's call poking fun at the claims McCain and Palin were inciting "hate and violence" yet.. here we have Obamanaughts being violent. It's amusing.

Should probably move the thread to the forum with all the jokes then.

You'd have to put all the threads with Obama's claims of working for the middle class as well.

Based on the real quote by Obama posted by lightdemon I agree how it would be interpreted by some to get "hands on".

A far contrast from Palin saying that Obama pals around with a terrorist........latest news lightdemon........he did.

I want you to argue with them and get in their face."

Thats going to be so welcome by many folks right. This isn't going to cause fights or worst. I promise you that if someone "gets in my face" to argue......its on. He could or should have said debate them or challenge them with the facts........no Obama said get in their face and argue.

Thats the way of the demoncrat nowadays............intimidation and silencing opposing opinion.

And what pray tell did Obama plan with this terrorist? Another Pentagon bombing? Perhaps a top secret plan to bomb the nation's capital?

Can you tell me what Obama and Ayers planned together? You know, when they were pals?

LOL - Okay.

You :spin: better than Mr. Vicchio.

Since when is arguing "intimidation and silencing opposing opinion"? I mean if they wanted you to be silent, they wouldn't be arguing with you now would they?

Do you know what we do here at DP? I'll give you hint: we don't silence opposing opinion.

Whew! After that Ashley Todd debacle, Republicans really needed this story!

You'd have to put all the threads with Obama's claims of working for the middle class as well.

Bravo!

Since when is arguing "intimidation and silencing opposing opinion"? I mean if they wanted you to be silent, they wouldn't be arguing with you now would they?

What does it mean to get into someones face exactly? I've seen quite a few talk shows where the "get out of my face" response is responded with getting the face out of the face and replacing it with a fist. I'm just going to assume that getting into someones face doesn't require assault or actionable aggressive behavior.

Gee, I don't know, perhaps post #2 in this thread can help us!

I'm just going to assume that getting into someones face doesn't require assault or actionable aggressive behavior.

So you're saying Obama isn't inciting violence? Good, we agree.

I didn't see anything. Maybe I'm stupid?

So you're saying Obama isn't inciting violence? Good, we agree.

No. He wasn't. He's still a scumbag and his supporters are far more aggressive.

I didn't see anything. Maybe I'm stupid?

Context, my friend. Obama used "get in their faces" with arguments. Not "get in their face" with a football helmet.

No. He wasn't. He's still a scumbag and his supporters are far more aggressive.

More aggressive than Ashley Todd who was willing to file a false police report? More aggressive than the skinheads who wanted to assassinate Obama?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say the whole conservative party are extreme as these fools, but you're really gonna say Obama's supporters are more aggressive than these idiots?

Lightdemon,

I don't recall myself or anyone in the McCain camp saying that Obama and Ayers were planning something. My problem with Obama's association with Ayers is only as it relates to Obama's choices in friends and his history of associating with folks that hate America.

Obama has vowed to unite the Country in his campaign. His campaign rhetoric however is offset by the company he keeps and the words he speaks. Both of which are very divisive.

Well, like I said earlier. How many times on these stupid talk shows has "GET OUT OF MY FACE!" during "in your face" arguments resulted in that persons getting punched out? I'm not trying to make the point that Obama was intentionally trying to cause something like this. I don't care. Just trying to show that "get in their faces" isn't the most universally understood phrase in the world to use when you're trying to tell people to be mildly harass your Republican friends.

but you're really gonna say Obama's supporters are more aggressive than these idiots?

In general? Hell yeah they are. Who has threatened riots if Obama didn't win the nomination? Who is threatening riots if Obama doesn't win the Presidency? A whole mess of people. Quite a bit more than some local meth heads who were clumsy in their attempt to attempt assassination. Regardless. I'd have nothing but contempt for Obama with or without his fanatical support.

Given all Obama hides of his past there's not much point in discussing his history. Since he has reversed himself on essential every issue, issues don't really count either. Either you take Obama on blind faith or you don't.

He's less like Bush than McCain. Essentially that's his campaign.

So guilt by association? Does this mean that Obama hates America? What does it tell you about Obama?

To me, it doesn't seem all that clear whether Obama has an intimate relationship with Ayers. It also isn't clear to me whether they share similar beliefs. So what does this connection mean, then? This "palling around?"

Obama has vowed to unite the Country in his campaign. His campaign rhetoric however is offset by the company he keeps and the words he speaks. Both of which are very divisive.

Well of course. What do you think politicians do? No politician alive does not have a forked tongue.

Yea, who has threatened riots? I don't know who you're talking about. Sources?

Yea, who has threatened riots? I don't know who you're talking about. Sources?

Sorry. It's more like "who has promised riots".
Not too long ago a little bit before the DNC, Al Sharpton promised that riots will take place if Obama didn't win. Limbaugh responded to the comment Sharpton made and of course, everyone focused on Limbaughs comments and Limbaugh's comments regarding Al Sharptons riots became a bigger story than the actual promising of riots itself.

Various police departments have geared up for riot control for election reaction. This has to come from somewhere doesn't it? I can't provide any sources of people endorsing or planning riots. I won't be able to find any because anyone who would do such a thing publicly would get into so much trouble.

So no, I don't have any sources to back up my belief that people will riot if a black president isn't elected.

"Who" is your fanatic supporter of Barack Obama.

YouTube - Obama supporters are Rioting and Screaming Vote Barack Obama

And Obama hasn't even lost yet!

I think I remember this...From what I can remember, it was Limbaugh who said there will be riots. He was twisting Sharpton's words, which would explain why his comments became much of the focus. Anyway, that's just how Rush rolls. Sharpton's words were that they would protest if Hilary got the nomination. Not that they would "riot."

I hope you don't listen to Rush too often...it's bad for your health.

What does it tell you about Obama?

Alone his association with Ayers is pretty harmless IMO. Together with Rev Wright, Rev Flager, Michelle Obama's comments, Obama's quotes including "white folks greed runs a world in need"..... it begins to paint a clearer picture of a man who A. doesn't like America much and B. doesn't care for white folks much.

Here's why I say this. He has surrounded himself in the most intimate areas with people who dislike/hate America and even his wife wasn't proud to be an American until a few months ago. He claims Wright is not only his pastor but his mentor. A mentor is a teacher or someone who guides you. He kept this mentor for 20 years despite his Anti white anti American views. Obama then parroted his mentors contempt for white people when he said "white folks greed runs a world in need" convincing me that he harbors ill feelings for whites. Now he wishes to raise taxes on predominately "white" Americans (many feel as punishment since raising taxes usually nets a loss in revenue due to the economy shrinking) and plans to give this money to low income folks.

The picture is clear for me. When I heard him say from his own mouth "white folks greed runs a world in need" I knew he was a racist. When he said "we need to spread the wealth around" I knew he was a Marxist. His associations just confirm this for me. It would have confirm it for you as well if you weren't jaded beyond belief.

This guy with the video camera, who also declares his dad is a black panther, and the police did not take down, is clearly trying to incite a riot. He screams out the same things over and over, "they pepper sprayed a black man" !- over and over. Luckily he failed, and he's lucky they did not arrest him.The police were calm and professional. The guy got away with it too. I wonder why?:rofl:roll:

I wonder what the polling numbers are from the policemen for the election.

You do know that he grew up in a white family right?

And to clear up something, Obama never said the "white folks greed" comment. He was quoting it from one of Wright's sermons.

Also, you're being a little disingenuous when you say Obama wants to raise taxes for the predominantly white folks. It just so happens that most of the rich people are white, and that his plan calls for a tax hike for these people. Not because they're white.

If Obama is Marxist, then what does that make FDR? The president that took us out of the Great Depression? Government expansion never grew that fast under any president before FDR. Does that make FDR a Marxist?

Look, I don't wanna make it seem like I'm an Obama supporter. But the flak that Obama is getting is not well deserved.

I hope you don't listen to Rush too often

I do.

I doubt "protest" would have been the only thing to go down that night had Obama lost. Sorry, just that pesky belief and bias again.
