Have any idea where to find a health insurance exchange? Up to speed on what a healthcare “navigator” is? Know whether you'll need a new government-issued ID card to qualify for Obamacare when it goes live on October 1?

Scam artists hope you're as clueless as possible, because they're counting on widespread confusion about the Affordable Care Act to tap fresh opportunities for milking the unwary. Regulators expect a stream of complaints about Obamacare fraud to swell to a gusher this fall, as people begin to explore new insurance options. So far, scams seem to be a variation on familiar themes, such as somebody claiming to be from Medicare calling seniors and warning of scary-sounding changes in the law that require them to provide sensitive info. The Federal Trade Commission logged more than 1,000 complaints about such calls earlier this year. Some of the calls originate from overseas.

Any new implementation is subject to fraud in the beginning. That happens regardless of ACA. What do you think will happen when voter ID cards come out in states, do you think they will not be subject to any fraud?

And just to be clear, no I don't support ACA.

I miss the days before PPACA when medical fraud was non-existent

That's what I find funny about right wing rhetoric sometimes.

This flawed idea that there was a time in America where everything was 1000% A-OK, and there were no problems.

And Obama ruined it all for everyone.

Michael Jordon missed a lot of shots. He wasn't perfect, and he was getting old.

But we've just replaced him with a 5-foot-8 college guard from Morehead State.

Obama's problem is his world view. He thinks social justice trumps the laws of economics. He thinks that if we are nice to other countries they will be nice to us. He believes that you grow the economy from the bottom up or the middle out depending on which week it is. He believes that he can change the climate with electric cars that run on coal which aren't ready for market and he's a crony capitalist who trades government favors for political and financial support. He's a good showman though. Got him elected twice.

Obama is certainly making it worse.

the fraud in medicare and disability alone should make this country say no to Obamacare

if there were fraud in medicare, there would be proof that would recognizable. you need to show us examples of this medicare fraud to show how bad the problem is.

i don't need to show you what has been documented numerous times. You are part of the reason the county is going to the toilet, instead of maturing and being responsible you want to be shown everything that is common knowledge to working America.

It would probably help if fewer folks were dedicated to sowing confusion about the law, or perhaps if fewer elected leaders pledged themselves to not helping their constituents understand it.

Some Republicans indicated to The Hill they will not assist constituents in navigating the law and obtaining benefits. Others said they would tell people to call the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Shocking ignorance right up there^^^^

Every event, tragedy and regulation brings out the fraudsters. 9/11? Fraud charities. Energy tax credit? Fraud contractors. Medicare? Fraud Doctors.

So, why Obamacare would be any different, I surely don't know.

Private insurance fraud exists, so we should get rid of that, right?

it is nothing compared to anything the government has its hands in

I wouldn't go that far.
I'd say we've got Tattoo from Fantasy Island.
Though he can barely walk, the Socialists say he can slam dunk, and is a play maker on par with Magic Johnston.

Some metaphors work; some not so much.

Yes, absolutely, and because all people get sick and eventually die anyway, we should do nothing to prevent that too, right?

Who says fraud never happened, and how does that make this fraud okay?
