The question that needs to be asked is this: Way back when it was such a great idea to invade Afghanistan, how many terrorists were there? The US and its allies have been killing and killing and killing for going on 14 years, the longest war in the history of the US, and only in Obama's term did they find out that they needed to increase the killing five hundred per cent.
This from a CIA that learned about the fall of the Berlin Wall when the bricks started hitting them, missed the first World Trade Center bombing, flubbed the response to that, missed the 911 attacks completely, and kind of blew "Arab Spring", Libya and, allegedly, Osama bin laden when they had him surrounded.
So how many terrorists are there left to kill? Where did they come from? Who is funding them, all things promised back during the Bush administration and contined under this president.
Seems to me, before they go running off invading and droning people, maybe they should find out these things, if for no other reason than to determine how many bullets they will need.
True enough. That's because following in Bush's footsteps Obama has practiced and ratcheted up regime change, which directly gives room for jihadists to blossom. And then there's Bush's drone program which Obama energized and is causing more hatred for America with its high ratio of innocent civilian deaths. Why is it American for you to criticize Obama and blame his policies for the rise in terrorist activity in the ME, but anti-American when I point out that both parties are responsible for power vacuums filled by jihadists and hatred for America due to our poor policies for years now???

Now AQ is back in Afghanistan and BO has lost the war in Afghanistan. Plus his whole reasoning for Afghanistan.....has now taken place with ISIL in Iraq and Syria, with their creation of a Caliphate. So they have their safe haven.....with terrorist groups working together to create bombs. While others are swearing allegiance to the Invisible Sheik.
Well he still knows there are other American hostages out there.....With what he said, if they heard it. Maybe it will give them some hope.
Apart from what you are implying, Obama has been aggressive fighting terrorists (I don't have to mention bin Laden.) Obama has used drones much more against terrorists than his predecessor.

They whole point of George Bush going in was to shut down the safe haven thing and kill all the terrorists. Now, you confirm there are more terrorists than ever before, and that they now have two countries from which to operate.

Rumor has it that the Admin's main focus will be utilizing the FBI to find these guys. Not the best approach IMHO. FBI is good when they have a controlled environment. That region is anything but controlled. This is best suited for military/intelligence.

I think he read a speech prepared by his speech writer, used some tough words but when he said 'we do what's necessary to see that justice is done', yip! We heard that before and are still waiting......
Then he ran off to play golf, with his bad image which he doesn't care about, you'd think he would at least pretend to get back to work. But naw, save work for another day. Let his staff deal with the problems and he'll come out to make another speech.
Heya ML.Well truthfully BO peep has never been one for smack talk. He couldn't handle it on the street so I doubt he can handle it anywhere else. Even in Diplomacy.
BO likes to destroy from within but is weak from the outside when people can see. I'm worried about the other hostages and that BO's actions may cause them harm, would be a disaster. We certainly don't want another beheading of the terrorists showing their power.
