Obama the real negotiator

I think ecofarm covered this well in the other thread on this subject, I'm not buying the idea that this money was ransom money.

Not ransom money, but if you have a bill to pay you say, "why don't we pay you this bill and you release these hostages.

Kind of a concurrent payment.

Or else the timing had nothing to do with each-other. You be judge and jury and then go root for your team.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were many side deals that went along with the Iran deal we made. This may be part of it, but I don't think it was a separate one off hostages for cash covert deal that some are trying to say.

Well, as usual, you've jumped to conclusions, and allowed your imagination to rule reality.

My post was only to point out that the posters claim was woefully short of accurate.

If you note, I offered no opinion on Obama's "coincidental" down payment.

What this payment has demonstrated, along with the pathetic Iran deal in general, is that President Obama, Sec. Kerry, Sec. Clinton, and others, are completely outclassed by the Iranians.

The timing of the release of the hostages and the payment of the money seemed to be a little ransom-like.

The idea of the money being a ransom is put forth by educated people.

Obama seems to be saying that the idea that the money paid by the Americans before the Iranians would allow the hostages to be released is not a ransom because we don't pay ransom. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

To me and anyone else who looks at this impartially, if it walks like a duck and swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.
