Obama Says World Leaders Are 'Rattled' by GOP Candidate

Private business entities making decisions based on what best represents their company (and boosts their bottom line) is "barbaric"?

You might have heard that I am a socialist?

Have you any clue at all what that means?

Wealth belongs to the collect always, we put it in the hands of individuals out of self interest, with the expectation that they will use it well, but and individual trying to get more loot (and according to SCOTUS corporations are individuals) are never free to harm the collective in the pursuit. No, a company looking out for more wealth is not free to diminish freedom in the collective as they work to get it. First and foremost they are not allowed to diminish my freedom to speak.

Am I clear?

So basically, a private employer can never sanction an employee for speech that negatively impacts said employer. Correct?

If America was a free country no speech exercised outside of the workplace/workhours would result in termination, or any sanctions at all. There is a long rant from me on this subject at A2K on a thread about Aflac firing Gilbert Gottfried

Yep. Anyone who talks about women the way Trump does fits the definition to a T. Does he dislike men as well? Only if they're running against him. Is he a racist? I don't know. Listen to the crap... I mean statements that come out of his mouth, and decide for yourself.

You have still provided no evidence of misogyny. That he may dislike or even hate certain women is not evidence that he hates all women. But go ahead and give your evidence that Trump has 'dislike of, contempt for, or in grained prejudice against women.' YOu have no such evidence because no such evidence exists. Give me his record on hiring women; on how the wages they earn in his company compares to that of men; give me examples of women who have said he has treated them unfairly.

You know what your evidence of misogyny and racism against Trump is? You heard liberal morons on TV make those bogus charges and you just unthinkingly accept it.

That's not true at all. In a free country, I am free to hire and fire who I please. Freedom applies to the employer as well. What you are saying is that an employer should be less free in your free society than the people he hires. Gottfried did not have a 'right' to that Aflak job. HIs termination was just since his employment, or lack of it, was determined by the employer.

No, I heard the words coming out of Trump's mouth, not from the "liberal morons on TV."

If the world leaders are rattled by Donald Trump, it goes to show how weak their leadership really is.

That's right along the lines of my first reaction to this statement of Obama's as well.
Followed shortly there after by "Is Trump rattling Obama?"

On the international stage, how is it a bad thing to have other nation's leaders off balance? On the wrong foot? Second guessing themselves. Rattled.

Isn't that what Putin has been doing to Obama for quite some time now? Isn't that what Iran has been doing to Obama and Kerry?

Good. Then you should have no trouble quoting him to back up your point. Please, provide evidence that he hates women. Please, provide evidence that he hates minorities. You claim you have heard him say it-post it.

You've heard him as well, but as one of Trump's Chumps, you either excuse what he said or pretend he didn't say it.

You haven't presented any evidence of racism or misogyny for me to excuse. You just claim its out there but cant back up the claim. Post evidence and I will respond to it. Otherwise you are just spreading lies.

Ok.
Excuse this.
Or, claim he didn't say it.

Are you kidding me??? What don't you understand about this? That he said those things does not make him a misogynist. Have you ever called someone a bimbo? A fat pig? Of course you have. EVERYONE has. That great champion of all things female, Hillary Clinton, led the charge against what they called "Bimbo eruptions" during her husbands term. Is she a misogynist too?

And yes, it is very hard for a woman with a flat chest to be a 10. Do you not understand this either? A 10 is perfection. Being flat chested means you aren't perfect, physically.. Now, you could be a 9.5, but a 10? Not likely. But Jesus, dude, whats wrong with you? You've gone off the deep end on this one

Seriously?

High school boys rating women as a 9 because they're flat chested is to be expected.
But, a presidential candidate should be at least a bit more mature than a high school boy, don't you think? Is Trump just a teen aged boy in an old man's body?

We agree. Trump is childish, but not misogynist. Then again, I don't know how old that quote is or the context in which it was made. The guy did run beauty pageants and was a frequent guest on Howard Stern, so that quote and others like it could have come from anywhere.

There are quite a few similar quotes, some recent and some not. We may disagree about the meaning of the term "misogynist", but surely no one wants to elect a man with the maturity of a 16 year old to the White House.

Look, I think Trump would be a horrible president. Entertaining, but horrible. I just think a lot of the attacks on the guy are bogus. There are plenty of reasons to oppose him without manufacturing new ones.
