Obama: Flags To Be Flown At Half-Staff In Honor Of Nelson Mandela [W:382]

I fly the American flag every day.:doh

It isn't just 'liberals and progressives' most of us defend Nelson Mandela and his legacy..

Go back and read again what I said. Starting in the 1980's liberals/progressives in the world started whitewashing Mandelas violent pass. You know the left is known to do things like that, it's called revisionism.

How much do you really know about Nelson and Winnie Mandela and the ANC ? Maybe I should've asked you first, how old were you in 1980 ?

I wasn't born in 1980. You don't need to have been living then to know what was going on or to know the history of the ANC and the numerous associated militant groups that operated in South Africa in the wider region. As for 'white washing' Mandela there was nothing to white wash. He was a saboteur, a political opponent, and a communist sympathizer.

So go vomit! You have no idea what this man accomplished!

Just admit he was a Commie and get over it. You are way too invested in trying to proving he wasn't.

I know but if you ready the OP it says they were close friends or Mandela was close friends of the US, which of course he was not.[/QUOTE

He's hero for the Left because he's a Commie. They just don't want to blow their cover. 8)

Also a traitor to his country and a terrorist.

I think those twenty seven years in prison caused Nelson Mandela to open his eyes and publicly abandon violence. But did he reject consequentialisms entirely ? The end justifies the means ? Consequences for whom ?

Old Fidel is getting old and when he goes on to that journey to Hell, your going to have the same people on the DP claiming all the good Fidel did for Cuba and the world and they will deny that Fidel was a commie.

Come to think of it, it was Fidel who helped arm the ANC.

Least there are a few here on DP that aren't afraid to admit their ideology. The rest are ******s.

His accomplishment were strictly regional. Not like he helped end the cold war or anything.

The NAC and Nelson Mandela were part of the Cold War. They just happened to be on the Soviet Union's side.

What was really behind ending apartheid in South Africa was the coming of the end of the Cold War.

Care to list them ?

And don't say he caused "Goodyear Tires" stocks to sky rocket.

Brother, if you don't already know, any explanation from me, now, will just be a waste of both of our time.

Judging by your posts, we're still fighting the Cold War with the amount of constant red-baiting you do.

With the efforts of leaders like Maggie Thatcher.

A traitor to his country? How is he a traitor to his country? Of course he was a militant, possibly even a terrorist at one point--most of us don't care. He was fighting a racist and fascistic government with all the means at his disposal. Of course I endorse consequentialism in that fight. Just as I'd endorse it for the Jews against the Nazis, the Ukranians against the Soviets, etc.

With the efforts of leaders like Maggie Thatcher.

She did play a significant part in influencing President De Klerk and bringing an end to apartheid.

Nelson Mandela couldn't do much sitting behind bars except wishing that he wasn't a commie but a capitalist and had stocks in Goodyear and Firestone.

I wonder if there are any of these pro Mandela supporters on the DP who want to explain how the Mandela family became multi-millionaires after Nelson Mandela became President ?

The Bush family made deals with Nazi Germany if you wonder how they became rich.

He wrote a very well-received book, for starters.

Nelson Mandela went to prison after police conducting a search warrant found the NAC war plans for overthrowing the South African government.

That's usually what most communist revolutions are all about, over throwing a ligament government by the use of violence.

Look at the "New Left" agenda before 1973 in America. Causing an uprising on the streets of America to over throw the U.S. government.

The National African Council declared war against the South African government and used terrorism as a tactic mostly murdering mostly black innocent civilians. Basically black on black crime.

How many of you commie sympathizers on the DP who know who the Zulu's are ? The Zulu's seem to have opposed the terrorist tactics of the ANC. The Zulu's are the true indigenous Africans of South Africa. True warriors.

Keep digging.

Give you a hint, think of South Africa's natural resources.

His estimated net worth in 2013 was $1.5 million. That's not exorbitantly high, although he did give a lot of money away.

Nelson Mandela Net Worth - TheRichest

Apparently his kids are pretty involved in a lot of South African business. But since you're so smart, why don't you tell us your theory, rather than have us do your homework for you.
