Obama: 38 Rounds of Golf

Your story doesn't mention that this is his 38th time golfing.

It was the link from Drudge that stated 38 rounds and led to the OP.

.

Someone has to create demand for golf balls so they make enough to shoot into the pipe.

I will get back to you when I care about this.

I still don't care about all the vacation time Bush took, so that might give you an idea how long you have to wait.

i think it's less the amount, and more the timing. the man just declared that the oil spill is the equivalent of 9/11 and his response to the equivalent of 9/11 was..... to go out for an afternoon of golf.

frankly, i prefer it when he's golfing. I wish he would do nothing else the rest of his presidency.

I tend to agree --- though then I doubt there's a reason he needs to hold onto his Presidency. If he wanted to be a pro golfer he should have followed that dream. I just have a problem with a wanna be golf pro faking his way to becoming President of the United States. Between the golf and the White House dinner / concert series... I'm not sure if President now means "Tax payer partay!!!" or something else entirely different. Obama's making a great case for the argument that "Presidents" may no longer be needed.

At the end of the day, there is nothing quite like watching conservatives cry about stupid ****.

This might be the dumbest partisan Republican thread in some time.

OMG, the President goes golfing a lot! The nation is collapsing! Socialism is running rampant! Undead Nazis riding dinosaurs are invading! Inbred aliens with erectile disfunction are eating babies as a cheap substitute for costly space viagra! All because Obama golfs too much!

So assuming an average time of 4 hours for a round (and lets be honest...if he is playing there is nobody in front of him to slow him down ) for 38 rounds that is a total of 152 hours in 18 months. That equals about 8 hours a month spent on the golf course of 720 total hours in a month (assuming a 30 day month) or approximately 16 minutes a day or just over 1% of his time....Where is the problem??

At the end of the day, there is nothing quite like watching conservatives cry about stupid ****.

After 8 years of whiny Democrats crying about stupid ****, the universe has to balance out. If it was okay then, it should be okay now. What's the problem?

Make sure to inform your boss of your sound logic and go hit the links. Let us know how that works out.

There's "reasonable" time and then there's "unreasonable" time "playing". This borders on "unreasonable" given the amount of problems domestically and internationally. If all things were hunky-dory, I don't think so much golf would be viewed as a problem.

In the name of balancing things out, you will be voting for Obama in 2012 right?

You kidding? I'm voting for the Third Party candidate... you don't balance out stupidity by voting FOR the stupidity.

Back to the point --- you apparently see my argument and decided not to comment further I suppose? I just want to make sure you see the hypocritical nature of the complaining about the complaining given the previous 8 years of protests, whining and outrageous accusations.

Yes, is it hypocritical to complain about the whining and outrageous accusations for 8 years just to turn around and whine and make outrageous accusations themselves once they weren't in power.

And vice versa. Pot meet kettle.

Didn't like my voting answer eh?

I wish third parties had more traction. The dems and repubs are the same guy just with a different hat.

I was impressed at how easily you gave up the "balance things out" argument.

Gave up? My answer nullified your question. I don't get softballs like that very often.

Nope, it sure didn't. You moved the goal posts. You were initially talking about balancing things out between the two parties as a justification for exhibiting poor behavior. Now you want to distance yourself from that so you changed the parameters.

HE should play more golf. The less he's at work, the less likley he's killing my country...

Just have him sign the waiver for the jones act then send him to the links.

If true and the goal posts were moved, you provided the tools, crane and opportunity --- i.e., the softball.

You are more than welcome to throw a hissy about whatever you want. There is no problem with that. In fact, I encourage it, since it gives me more stuff to laugh at, which is all I am doing. I have not said there was a problem with your fit, only that it is hilariously funny, just as those who bitched about Bush's vacations where funny. The best part is, I get to be wholly consistent and not be seen as a whiner.

So you thought it was okay then?

Never complained about it?

Never thought it was dumb?

Never spoke up against it?

You realize many republicans are just as hypocritical in this as many democrats are?

You realize you're hypocritical for bitching about the Dem's doing this while not bitching about the republicans.

Pointless **** like this was pointless under Bush and its pointless under Obama. Are there potential LEGITIMATE issues you could bring up that include stuff like this? Sure. But that's never the case, that's never what happens, its stupid **** like "OMG he's clearing brush" or "OMG he's playing golf" that get posted and lambasted and does nothing but make that individuals side look like ****ing troglodites.

Your post might make sense if I were posting for only your benefit / amusement. I can't say I care one way or the other if your amused or not. I don't know what your definition of a hissy fit is, but know me the way I do, this is far from a hissy fit... don't be all butthurt about the role reversal and criticism of Obama. It's not like liberals didn't know it's coming - though I'm also not surprised about the apologist nature and full on defense of the indefensible. That's the part that amuses me to no end. Part of why I log on every day. Tell me more how I'm throwing a fit and how it amuses you.
