You've cornered the market on Kool Aid. Obama made Law Review on the basis of a writing competition. He became president of the Law Review when he was elected by the other members. He graduated Magna because his grades were in the top 13% of his class. He was given a teaching position at Chicago because of his excellent credentials and because he personally impressed an important professor there when the professor submitted an article to HLR.
Here's an interesting bit I just ran across where several law professors examined Obama's course materials and exams from Chicago. Akhil Amar is considered one of the brightest constitutional law minds in the country -- a possible future supreme court justice.
 Which won't make it correct no matter how long you do so. Stubbornness isn't a logical argument. Shrug, indeed.
That's true, it is just my opinion -- and the opposite is just your opinion.
Here's the NY Times on his appointment.

Yep, that's what I said. He was elected by other members of the Review.
Yes, where grades weren't the main criteria but the color of his skin was. He would not have advanced otherwise.
So you automatically assume that he was elected because he was black, and not because the other members of the law review thought he was the best qualified? Talk about your race cards!
btw, if the guy who was president after him was white, does it mean he was just elected because he was white?

Change in Selection System
Mr. Obama was elected after a meeting of the review's 80 editors that convened Sunday and lasted until early this morning, a participant said.
Until the 1970's the editors were picked on the basis of grades, and the president of the Law Review was the student with the highest academic rank. Among these were Elliot L. Richardson, the former Attorney General, and Irwin Griswold, a dean of the Harvard Law School and Solicitor General under Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon.
That system came under attack in the 1970's and was replaced by a program in which about half the editors are chosen for their grades and the other half are chosen by fellow students after a special writing competition. The new system, disputed when it began, was meant to help insure that minority students became editors of The Law Review.
Essentially, President Obama is saying it should be upheld because it is popular, not because it is legally/Constitutionally correct.
Wow. Just... wow!
So you share BHO's opinion that Obamacare passed with a "strong majority" and that overturning a law passed by Congress would be unprecedented?
Or do believe he was incorrect in both those assertions?
He's an assclown who is like FDR. Intimidate the court and bully them into pissing on the constitution.
Its history repeating itself.
Yes, Obama was elected Harvard Law Review President because he was Black. He was unqualified then and he is unqualified for the Presidency now.
I guess I missed the Obama court packing legislation....

He does tend to bully people who make him look bad. Reporters, Jan Brewer, what have you.
under the system that he was chosen, he was qualified. He was fairly elected president by those qualified to vote. He also fairly earned his way on to the law review due to a combination of his grades and his writing competition. Where I have problems is that he would not have been accepted into Harvard but for his race.
You should read what they said before you comment.

It was the HLR who were playing the race card.
Grades were not considered and his writing was not entirely his own.
The point may have been to make it easier for minorities to win the office, but that doesn't mean that he was elected for that reason. In fact, if you research it you will find that everyone who was on the review and who has been interviewed says he was elected based on merit.
........... But I think what he meant was that finding the law unconstitutional ... under existing commerce clause case law ... would be unprecedented.
He explained today: "The point I was making is that the Supreme Court is the final say on our Constitution and our laws and all of us have to respect it. But it's precisely because of that extraordinary power that the court has traditionally exercised significant restraint and deference to our duly-elected legislature, our Congress."
As I mentioned above, I think Obama chose his words poorly, and I would say that if you take them literally then he was mistaken. But I think what he meant was that finding the law unconstitutional ... under existing commerce clause case law ... would be unprecedented.

Okay. Show us his grades and some of his writings.
