Trump paid $750 in US income taxes in 2016, 2017

President Donald Trump paid just $750 in federal income taxes the year he ran for president and in his first year in the White House, according to a report Sunday in The New York Times.

Trump, who has fiercely guarded his tax filings and is the only president in modern times not to make them public, paid no federal income taxes in 10 of the past 15 years.

The details of the tax filings complicate Trump’s description of himself as a shrewd and patriotic businessman, revealing instead a series of financial losses and income from abroad that could come into conflict with his responsibilities as president. The president’s financial disclosures indicated he earned at least $434.9 million in 2018, but the tax filings reported a $47.4 million loss.

The tax filings also illustrate how a reputed billionaire could pay little to nothing in taxes, while someone in the middle class could pay substantially more than him. Roughly half of Americans pay no income taxes, primarily because of how low their incomes are. But IRS figures indicate that the average tax filer paid roughly $12,200 in 2017, about 16 times more than what the president paid.

COMMENT:-

You van bet your bottom dollar that Mr. Trump paid more than $75 to have his income tax prepared.

And where is this document? I don't think I saw it on here. Do you have the document? When will you share it. So far we just have your claims. Collusion, tax evasion, where is the proof of either?

It isn't embedded in the article. May be screenshots of it in the video, but I don't want to read snippets of a document on a video of there are.

And this is the jag that limited our SALT deductions to $10K!

If you don't like the tax laws, change the tax laws. Everyone who pays taxes exercises tax avoidance. Maybe talk to Biden who was in the federal government for 47 years why tax laws are the way they are.

The Leftists will NEVER get that...lol

What no one is talking about is the NYT hit piece from un-named sources proved Trump was telling the truth when he said he could not release his tax returns because they were indeed under an audit.

It turns out Trump took advantage of Obama administration loopholes to end up with a massive refund. So who was the dumbass in the Obama administration that issued Trump a massive refund?

It’s impossible to only owe $750. Impossible. Trump cheated like a mother****er and may have gotten Ivanka all jammed up as a result.

He’s broke. And in two years he’s going to owe $421 million.

Excuse me, but now I wonder if you are writing (very) drunk. Who is since 2016 president, enlighten me.

His way of taking advantage was via lies and the violation of federal law. The Obama administration has not a thing to do with Trump's corrupt manipulations.

Trump's taxes became public record the day he was sworn in as President. Everyone has access to every politician's tax records. What they do not have access to is Trump's taxes before he became a public politician.

Well, there you are wrong. Trump is the only president that has refused to make his taxes public. He has pursued it in court over the years and in June this year the Supreme Court ruled that President Donald Trump will have to release his tax return to the prosecutor's office in Manhattan in New York.

Donald Trump reacted strongly to the court's decision and sad that it was a politically corrupt decision.

When people asked why Trump should be President despite having zero political experience, we were told by his supporters that he was a great businessman and we needed an awesome dealmaker to run the economy. If his businesses are in such bad shape that he's only paying $750 in tax, then he's clearly a terrible businessman.

General Electric not only didn't pay taxes, but got a refund.

I’m unfamiliar with GE’s corporate tax returns. By all means feel free to compare and contrast. It’s your deflection.

This is incorrect. I cannot find a link anywhere to tRump’s tax returns provided by himself or the WH since taking office. Can you please provide?

Being under audit doesn't prevent him from releasing tax returns.

Much more concerning is Trump's massive personal debt, and that we don't know who holds that debt. People get denied Top Secret security clearances over a few thousand dollars in debt they incurred in their teenage years. Hundreds of millions of dollars in debt and he's got access to everything?

General Electric not only didn't pay taxes, but got a refund.

Isn't that "working as intended" to people like you?

Sorry if this point is a little obvious, but it's pretty hard for Trump to sustain an argument that the NYT taxes story is "fake news" when he won't release his taxes himself. Obviously the base will buy it but I'm not sure that anybody else does.
Where did Jared go to get 666 Fifth Ave. money?

Well if Eric Trump's word is anything to go by, pretty specifically Russia.
