Lauren Tomasi a news reporter for 9 News (LCAL) shot (by rubber bullet) while peacefully reporting on LA siuation. Officer deliberately pointed gun at her (while her back was turned) and fired.

Coward.

This will not end well for Trump.

As does Trump as he’s dismantled the DOJ’s civil rights division that would investigate and prosecute police misconduct cases….like this one.

This is going to end up better for Trump than you can imagine. Only the rabid TDS deranged morons across country are buying into the pro-illegal immigration arguments and those are the same people that would deliberately suffocate themselves if Trump told them to breathe. Across the country, support remains high for riding the country of illegal immigrants. Typically, you jumped bareback onto the wrong braying jackass party position and are riding it facing its tail.

"In a CBS News/YouGov poll conducted June 4-6, 54% of Americans said they approved of Trump's deportation policy, and 50% approved of how he's handling immigration. This is compared with 42% who approved of his economic policy and 39% who said the same of Trump's approach to tackling inflation."

When even the CNN polls show Trump favorably in handling the immigration crisis...you can pretty much bet that your position is the extremist one.
 
Trump is in a hurry to wrest complete control over the population before he loses his power in the midterms.

He doesn't have time to poison the press with radiation, can't trust his people to toss reporters out of windows without trading notes on the Signal app, and he has yet to secure a place where they can be disappeared, murdered, and hacked apart with a bone saw - although I have no doubt he might have had a brief discussion with bin Salman about this on his recent Saudi Arabia visit.

As we know from his rash of frivolous lawsuits in the billion$ against the Fourth Estate, he will do anything and everything in is power to silence the press. "Accidentally shooting them" is a convenient dry run for his ultimate plan. You can't record people in the act of committing a crime when you fear for your life and you're ducked behind a car.

All press covering rallies against Trump should be provided by their employers with body armor, helmets, safety goggles and a gas mask - just in case.

That's true. Word on the street is that Trump personally called the cop and ordered him to assassinate the reporter. It's all being covered up by the vast right wing media cabal so we'll never hear the truth but we're better than that and we KNOW the truth!!

This seems almost like a non-issue in that it's one cop impulsively acting badly compared to the government actions, but it does stick out to me the mentality that he can be there in the police line and see a reporter, and feel the urge and the freedom from accountability to just turn and shoot her for nothing. That says a lot - and once again debunks the myth that 'troops will refuse illegal orders'.
