Stumbled on this:
I love this. Showed it to a colleague a few years ago, and she wrinkled her nose at it, so I figured I might be the only person who appreciates this.
I appreciate it. For when the Spirit of the LORD has come upon me, I too have danced and there have been times I have found when my heart was not right for the same Spirit to beat me down to the point I could not stand on my own until "heart surgery" was performed. When one seeks a pure heart or one of HIS strays, that is not uncommon.
Edit- but anyone who has studied the life of King David knows that David was often out of fellowship with G-d. And the consequences were great. But G-d loved David regardless as a man after his own heart. And I think that alone should bring much comfort to many. Even though you falter, G-d truly knows your heart.
I'm so glad you said this, Vesper. David was certainly the most human of men, and I occasionally smile when I'm reading a Psalm and he's kvetching again and going on about heaping hot coals on his enemies' heads. And yet his Father loved him.

Nobody does church music like black Americans. Sure beats the Gregorian chant.
I've come across this gospel song. It's not the typical kind I'm used to......but I must be outdated. It's a
feet-stompin' tune that boldly speak of determination to stick to faith.
