Don't know if I'm in the minority, but I can think of 100 or more worse ways to be executed - this is as painless is it gets.

Not that I want to trade lethal injections for mortar rounds, mind you. :shock:

Still, if I were to be used as a shock-and-awe example for those who are still living... I'd much prefer to go this route than the al Qaeda route.
 
The only thing you can probably console yourself with is that this guy probably wasn't a paragon of virtue either. The truly abominable and unspeakable things we only hear about from whispers from defectors. It's the trainstations overflowing with bodies in the countryside because they were firewalled from WHO and WFO visits for example.
