Some federal agencies that have enjoyed a reputation as honest and non-partisan have sunk into the mire of being Democrat operatives. One, although never popular, that was respected as impartial was the IRS. That is gone the way with Louis Lerner pleading the fifth, her hard drive being destroyed, and President Obama saying there wasn't a "smidgen of corruption."

Now we have the Department of Justice that sends operatives to stir up hatred and violence and as the riots happen the Present says, "Stay the course." The rioters heard him but, of course, he wasn't speaking to them. The FBI has covered for Sen. Clinton and her accomplices.

Some can remember ABSCAM where members of Congress were convicted of taking bribes in an FBI sting operation. The FBI approached both Democrat and Republican members of Congress. Some remember there has never been an ABSCAM II but we have seen totally corrupt prosecutions of some, such as Sen. Stevens of Alaska, for political gain.

Now, my question. How do we reverse this. How do we make not just these but all of the partisan departments nonpartisan. Our first leftist in the White House, President F. D. Roosevelt put a system in place to protect oepratives given jobs in the government. They stay regardless of who is elected in Congress or in the White House.

How do we reverse it or has the rot taken hold so deeply that it can't be reversed?

The Purge - Congress style?

Reversing the rot won't be easy, it will take a long time to undo...but it can be done. What it'll require is a voting public that has that aim in mind. They must, over multiple election cycles, keep in Office people who are committed to reversing the rot.

Without that, it will always fail.

That (bolded above) does not work for any second term POTUS or for 532 of our 535 congress critters. One also must keep in mind that appointed executive officials and career government employees are largely immune from public pressure. If one serves at the pleasure of the POTUS, governor or mayor then they just might be prone to act as to please that elected official.

It very well COULD work for a second term POTUS...if the voters are clear about their intent. The Congress critters have very little involvement with the partisan activities of executive branch agencies beyond their oversight capacity, but their support of a President who is committed to reversing the rot is essential.

My point about the voter's responsibility is key to what you say about appointed executive officials and career government employees. Yes, the President is the one who controls them, but it is the voters who elect a President who will control them to minimize partisan actions.

I think a large part of the problem are bureaucrats who can't be removed except for cause and being a partisan hack, and even a criminal like Lois Lerner, isn't grounds for removal. When a department head comes in that isn't of the same party, the hacks hunker down and obstruct as much as possible without getting fired.

I'm afraid I don't consider the opposition party coming in and replacing the socialists with their own party hacks as a solution.
