No, you can't be a terrible human being and be a good president.

Agreed. The best thing about Trump is that he saved us from Hillary and her corrupt political machine. Now, if he’d only resign and let the adults take charge, all would be good. :)

there is also that thing about creating the best economy in modern US history and solving a North Korea problem that no one for 70 years thought could be solved, the so called adults could not have solved either of those.

I don’t give Presidents credit for the economy, but no doubt you give Clinton full credit for the 1990s economy. I do not.

As for Korea, are you claiming that Kim has dismantled his nuclear and conventional forces resulting in peace across the peninsula?

You give a president credit for the economy by his policies that directly affect it. Trumps tax cuts and reduced regulations have greatly improved this economy. Clinton inherited Reganomics and signed every bill Newt handed him is why we had a great economy in the 90's not form anything Clinton himself incited. Obama policies are why we had a stagnate economy and the slowest recovery in US History.

Regarding North Korea: We are in the best place we have been in 70 years. Several times the South Korean President has given full credit to President Trump for this. The South Korean President would know better than anyone.

First, the Executive branch has limited powers by design. The Legislative branch has the greatest powers, again by design. While the President is the face of the US, the reality is that he can’t sign bills Congress hasn’t passed.

Example 1; Obamacare. It doesn’t matter how much Obama wanted it, without Congress passing it, he had nothing to sign.

Example 2; 2013 Gun Control bill. It doesn’t matter how much Obama wanted it, when Congress failed to pass it, he never got to sign it.

Someone can be a flawed human being -- even a deeply flawed human being -- and still possibly be a good leader.

But when someone crosses the line to being a truly vile person, then no, that person can't be a good president.

So, no, Trump isn't and never will be a good president.

In the UK all politicians are generally considered horrible people, it's all part of the job. Are you telling me it's different in the US.

As it happens, Trump is about the only president you have ever had that I warm to. Someone who wants to meet his promises and is not afraid to upset a few lefty liberals. Someone who cares about his country and people first, and who doesn't put the rest of the world first (like the UK). Honestly, you don't know how good you have it over there !

You are using the wrong yardstick...how much you like them matters almost not at all....how much they accomplish of what needs to be accomplished what is good for this nation....THAT is the right one.

Learning this sort of thing is what education is for.

fyi

You evidently are only using the economic yardstick with Trump and that means you too need more of an education, at least from the point of view of morals, ethics, principles and humanity.

Evidently and for a large portion of the population (you included), money is the God you follow. Nonetheless, for others (like myself), honor, respect, humanity are more important and cannot be replaced with money. Money is a lot easier to obtain than honor, respect and humanity, meaning that it takes hard work to accomplish them, not only for yourself but for others to see it in you. You literally could win the lotto tomorrow and be rich for the rest of your life but you cannot do the same with honor, respect and humanity. For those, they can only be earned and not won.

Trump does not represent any of those values. He is immoral, unethical, has no principles and lacks humanity. He has no empathy so the only thing he know what to do is what is bring out the greed that we all have some of in us. Greed is evil.

The 7 mortal sins that exist in people (avarice, envy, wrath, sloth, gluttony, lust and pride), are clearly evident in Trump. He is an avaricious person to the nth degree, he shows wrath all the time with his constant anger toward anyone that is not like him or that does not like him, he is envious of Dictators like Putin and Jong-un that have their nations totally doing what the leader wants them to do, he shows sloth inasmuch as most of the time in office he spends it golfing (he only works 6 hours a day 5 days a week even though he said he would spend all the time working if elected), he shows gluttony as he is definitely overweight and last but not least, he is the most prideful person that I have ever seen. He needs to be lauded by his minions every day.

As such, Trump shows all the 7 mortal sins that exist in life and that means he is an evil man.

If you can't see that clearly, it likely means that you are like him.

I was totally unaware that the latest issue of the Liberal Comic Book of Politics had come out.

Liberals pontificating on the 7 Mortal Sins issue? Did it "sell out" already, did it? :lamo

right , mainly because the mob won't dare let you.

thing is, every human being is flawed. if you wait around trying to find a perfect human being to lead, your SOL.

Of course every human being is flawed. Where did my post suggest I was trying to find a perfect human? Hint: it did not.

My post clearly acknowledged that flaws do NOT stop someone from being a good leader.

But there's a point where you go beyond "flawed" and start approaching the monstrous. Trump is beyond flawed and well on the way to monstrous. There is no way that such a person can be a good president.

The act of pretending that the monstrous has the potential to be a good president is a choice to join him on the path to monstrosity.

With a GOP congress Obama spent most of his 8 years governing by "Executive Order."

This was a good thing because Trump was able to quickly repeal almost all of them.

When the economy immediately skyrocketed it showed the world just how crappy a President Obama was and how terrible Leftist policies are.

This is why Trumps base will never abandon him and why the Left has such a visceral permanent hatred of him.

Trump may have to spend the rest of his presidency governing by executive order the way Obama did.

If the next President is a Leftist who repeals all of Trumps executive orders that wont be a bad thing either. Because when the economy and everything else craters the world will see just how terrible Leftist ideology is.

Excellent. We’re agreed about the Constitution and the limits of branch powers.

Yeah "hearts of gold" want exonerated black kids executed anyway cuz they're guilty of something, right? Too bad you don't have the capacity to see how dumb your posts are.

Donal Trump doesn't do antyhing except to benefit Donald Trump. Hearts of gold don't run fake charities and get sued for it.

I guess this is suppose to suggest that Putin owns Trump.

This looks really stupid considering Trump as President is the worst thing to ever happen to Putin.

Such as: Trumps energy policies destroying the Russian economy, US military killing Russian troops in Syria, Etc.

As opposed to what? Two years of unified government and Trump’s legislative record is a joke.

Okay. Do you have a list of things Trump has done that benefit most Americans?

Best economy in modern US history, 70 year old North Korea problem being solved, China no longer dominating us, Are those jokes?

How does the angry OP know the president? Did she ever meet him to determine if he is a bad person? Stop believing every little thing you read on the Internet.

Trump ended the war with Syria to give it over to Russia.

Nope, but thanks for the idea.

Says who? Who defended Putin against NATO?

Sorry, but that’s a mixture of fact, hype and pure fiction.

The first one in that list is courtesy of his 1.3 trillion budget and the GOP's 3.8 trillion tax cut. Fueling an economy with borrowed money is not an accomplishment. NK accepted Trump elevating them to his level and gave nothing in return. Likewise, China is still a problem.

Want to try again?
