Call Your Congressman or woman and pick up the New Mantra.....No going to War to Save Obama's Face. No going to War to take the Egg Off Obama Face.
Johnny Quest McCain if flying a False Flag. Was it Catastrophic for the Brits to be told by their people......NO!

We need to have Good Ole Johnny checked out for senility and to see if he is losing his faculties. His state of mind should be questioned by the press and all others. Anytime he opens that Reptillian looking mouth of his. What a Putz and wannabe Hawk.

No Syrian War to Save Obama's Face!
Pat Buchanan – 14 hrs ago

"Catastrophic!" said Sen. John McCain.

If Congress votes no on a resolution calling for U.S. intervention in Syria's civil war, says McCain, it would be "catastrophic" for U.S. credibility in the world.

Consider what the senator is saying here.

Because Barack Obama, two years ago, said "Assad must go," and, one year ago, said any use of chemical weapons crosses his "red line," Congress has no choice but to plunge America into yet another Mideast war.

Can this be? Are we really, as a nation, required to go to war to make good the simple-minded statements of an untutored president who had no constitutional authority to issue his impulsive ultimata?

Are we really required to go to war to get the egg off Obama's face?

The House, Senate or both can vote no on the war resolution and Obama can then say, as did David Cameron, that, while he disagrees, he respects the decision of a Congress in which the Constitution placed sole authority to authorize America's going to war.

Are Brits now crying "catastrophe!"? Do the Spanish no longer think the Brits will defend Gibraltar? Is Britain now wholly non-credible to the world?

Even if Congress approves a war resolution, the president should think long and hard about diving into a war he sought to avoid and stayed out of for over two years. Make no mistake; if Obama attacks Syria, be it for hours or days, we are in that blood-soaked abattoir for the duration.

In his dramatic statement Saturday, as politically astute as it was constitutionally correct, Obama called Syria "someone else's war."

Whose war? It is Shia Alawite vs. Sunni, Muslim vs. Christian, Kurd vs. Arab, Islamist vs. secularist. Backing Bashar Assad are Iran, Hezbollah and Russia. Backing the rebels are Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states, al-Qaida, foreign jihadists and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Assad is accused of killing 100,00 people. But that is the total of the dead in a civil war Assad has as much right to fight as the rebels. While his army is accused of using gas on civilians, the Islamist rebels have murdered Christians, massacred captives and engaged in public acts of cannibalism on dead Syrian soldiers.....snip~

Sedition is alive and well in the USA.

This kind of repulsive anti-Obama manure would have been prosecuted a decade ago with the Patriot Act.

This decade, forget about that Patriot thingy.

Got anything to say since he is Lambasting Johnny Quest McCain too? I notice those Obama slurping comments don't have anything to say about that. Wonder why that is? Got any valid reason why for some reason you could not fathom that part out?

Did you notice how Buchanan pointed out who is behind the Rebels and what they have done.

He is absolutely correct.....there is no Reason to save Obama Face.

Did you forget when Churchill wanted to Drop Anthrax on Germany for 2 days? But opted for Firebombing the Defenseless City of Dresden?

Was that you with plastic gloves dipped in red paint waving behind Kerry?

After Hitler bombed my Mother in London for two years with Repubs having tied FDRs' hands, I'll treat your Dresden question as should we have lost a half million more men attacking Japan?

No I was the one behind Kerry with the Boot off into his ass.....laughing. Knowing there wasn't anything he could do about it. Except get all into his touch feely feewings like he did here with Syria.

Right so you would avoid the facts. Thats nothing new coming from the left.

We are told that if we do not strike Syria — making good on Obama's threats — Israel, Turkey and even Japan and South Korea will not be able to trust us ever again.

What nonsense. We have treaties with Japan and South Korea. As for Turkey and Israel, if what is happening in Syria is outrageous and dangerous, why do they not act? Why do they keep tugging at our sleeve?

The Israeli Air force is five minutes from Damascus, its army a two-day march. The Turks have three times Syria's population and a 400,000-man army equipped with NATO weapons. Together, they could invade and turn the tide in a week. Why do they not man up?

McCain and Sen. Lindsey Graham came out of the Oval Office saying Obama was open to wider strikes on Syria and more lethal support for the rebels. As Iran, Hezbollah and Russia would then upgrade their own weapons shipments to Damascus, this will mean more dead, more wounded, more tens of thousands fleeing into exile and a longer war.....snip~

So you are actually saying that it is okay for us to go to War.....Just to stop the Egg from being on Obama's Face. I guess Scrambled isn't a problem for you.

I thought it was the liberals and libertarians who are voting no. Which are you? And as I've been saying since Snowden, this is the Amash coalition. You do know Amash lashed out at Cons today.

One can tell by the Neo Con wannabes attitude. Johnny Quest is all full of smiles and smiling that reptilian grin. So he knows what he got past on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Their vote passed 10-7.

Which he now has his support to help those worthless Rebels.

Right now those Rebels and all those brigades. So many on the terror lists. Why let any of them leave that ground then.

You would do a nice job selling a war against Syria. We'll continue this discussion up to the point when these Russian puppets can launch bio/chem weapons at the USA.

Oh did you now.....you must not have been paying attention to those Democrats that were just saying......NO! Here I will let Chrissy Matthews spell it out for you.

Chris Matthews: Democrats Will Have To Vote For Syria Intervention 'To Save The President's Hide'

Chris Matthews lamented Wednesday that President Obama is putting Congressional Democrats who don't support U.S. military action against Syria "in a bad position."

The MSNBC host appeared on "Morning Joe" to discuss the president's call for intervention. "I think the Democrats are going to be forced to sacrifice men and women who really, really don’t want to vote for this," Matthews said. "They’re going to have to vote for it to save the president’s hide. That's a bad position to put your party in."

Matthews then agreed with his assessment, saying, "When you hear Barbara Boxer yesterday, when you hear Jim Moran yesterday, you have to wonder what they would have said had it been a Republican president.” ......snip~

Looks like Obama, Kerry McCain and Graham are doing all that spelling out.

What you didn't see the part about Now helping the Rebels as part of the sell?

Senate Breaks Own Rules in Rush to Vote on Syria War.....

Senate Democratic leadership tossed aside the rules for moving legislation with regard to the resolution authorizing the use of military force against Syria, angering some Republicans and creating confusion on Capitol Hill in the runup to the war vote.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee narrowly approved a modified war resolution Wednesday afternoon by vote of 10-7 with one member, Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), voting present. The committee's action allows Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to bring the measure to the floor as early as Monday, following a break for the Jewish holidays. That would allow a vote by the full Senate as soon as Wednesday, giving the Senate a chance to pass a war resolution before the House has a chance to craft and pass a resolution of its own.

But some GOP Senate offices are upset with what they see as a rush by Democratic leadership to pass the war authorization outside the rules that govern how legislation goes through the committee process.

“This is a rush to war behind closed doors,” one senior GOP Senate aide said. “We were told there was a need to have a thoughtful and public debate about how this nation goes to war, but this seems to be about simply getting a resolution done to cover the president.”

You were saying now? Something about who is selling the War?

What you got to say about how the Democratic leadership Broke their own rules? Got anything to say about that. Looks like you can't blame Republicans or any on the Right.

SO whats the excuse now?

Ah yes, people don't agree with Obama and it's sedition. When people didn't agree with Bush and wanted him prosecuted for war crimes, what was that? When Americans want Canada and other countries to arrest Bush and send him to the Hague, what was that?

Some in this world have very selective memories.

Heya CJ .....Buchanan nails it here. ;) Notice the Obama slurpers have ran away. As usual. :lamo

McCain and Sen. Lindsey Graham came out of the Oval Office saying Obama was open to wider strikes on Syria and more lethal support for the rebels.

But what it will likely end with, after America is dragooned in, is a U.S. war with Iran; our allies, sitting in their box seats, cheering us on.

And that is the dog you will not hear bark in the war-on-Syria debate......snip~

Kerry did testify yesterday that there is a possibility that this would lead to boots on the ground in the future but that the authorization they are looking for now doesn't include it or anticipate it. That should tell Americans all they need to know.

If it's just a front for the US and/or Israel to attack Iran's nuclear program - if that's the hidden agenda - then this might actually be a worthwhile endeavor. If it's just to shoot at a few Syrian installations so Obama and his fans can claim he keeps his word, that's just nonsense.

Yeah, I know the Reporter also asked him about what if Congress wont approve. He said they aren't even considering anything like that. This is to dire.

The funny thing is, if Obama were against a strike on Syria, MMC would be whining that he's weak and that the US must act militarily.

Conservatism is totally and completely intellectually bankrupt. If MMC only knew how transparently dishonest he looked on this thread.

The whole forum here, the whole media, the whole world is against attack in Syria.
No one blamed Obama in 2012 or in March 2013 (when the red line was crossed) for his weak of non-acting. And no one ever asked for military action.
Everyone is criticizing him now for his stupid, idiot attitude. He is not capable even to make a good lie.

Really.....what am I thinking now? I doubt all the Lefty thought power in the World can give you that answer. Despite it all coming from their Source. That would be called Weakness that which they are made of. Which you are part of. How does it feel to walk around life known as one of the Weakest things ever created in life.

What did you think the stripes changed color cuz the mouth was opened.

Looks like I read thru your ilk like a piece of glass. ;)

U.S. intelligence committees say they're not properly consulted on Syria

U.S. congressional intelligence committee leaders believe the Obama administration has not properly consulted them as the president engages in final deliberations for possible military action in Syria, according to congressional officials.

One of the officials said the administration's discussions with critical lawmakers, including Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein and her House counterpart, Mike Rogers, had been limited to "very brief status updates."

Another official said such talks had largely taken place over unclassified non-secure phone lines, making it difficult to discuss sensitive intelligence findings or details of the administration's plans for a possible U.S. military response.

But the administration as of midday on Wednesday had yet to share a U.S. intelligence report that may directly link the Assad government to last week's attack. A senior administration official said on Wednesday a formal assessment was expected this week and a classified version would be shared with Congress.

Jim Inhofe, the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued a statement on Wednesday raising questions about how the United States would pay for any intervention.

"Today I told the Administration that I cannot support military action in Syria unless the President presents to Congress his broader strategy in the region that addresses our national security interests and the budget to support it," Inhofe said.

"I'm not sure how we look at the conduct of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and believe that we're going to be successful at pulling the strings of Syrian politics through military intervention," Democratic Senator Christopher Murphy told Reuters in a telephone interview on Wednesday.....snip~

I don't know if I can find you some of my comments referring to C. Matthews as a "chameleon"...

I was going with a story on Politico, where libs and libertarians were combining against Obama, in what I like to call the Amash coalition...

Then it gets put up on threads on DP where we can go at it as we used to on Politico, anonymously.

Yeah well I expect the Right to go after him. That's a given. What makes it all the more interesting. Is when all those Democrats jump out into the media and make the Big Shoe.....then turn around and will vote just to save Obama's face.

All of them should be listening to their constituients.....first and formost. That's what puts them there.

Plus you have already seen me say. McCain needs to be checked for senility. Which they should be on him about his mental health. In essence driving him out to pasture!

Your memory is especially selective since no action has taken place yet, different from all of the examples you gave about Bush. Forcing Obama to "show us the plan", thereby giving it to our enemies before it is employed, is indeed Sedition. You may want to check that part of the Constitution.

Obama should have laid out the evidence without speaking of a plan out loud. This way Repubs could have been normal. But no. Repubs are against something they used to support because it is Obama. As with every issue.
