Chemical attacks on children in Syria are terrible things and Americans are outraged that they could take place. It’s a shame that those same Americans are not up in arms over the fact that Mexico has been practicing chemical warfare against the United States for generations. Apparently all the young people in America dying from opioid addiction are somehow relegated to some kind of second class status. All kinds of high dudgeon for kids in Syria but when it comes to kids at home no one bats an eyelash about the source of the poison.

Demanding that something be done about Syria is all well and good but how about demanding something be done about drug-running Mexico and its brethren in South America? If scores of children choke on toxic gas in Syria thousands and even millions of young Americans are falling to the lucrative drug trade originating in Mexico.

Does anyone seriously believe that a quid pro quo has not existed between the US and Mexico since NAFTA? You let us build auto plants in Mexico and we’ll help you support your country by running a pipeline of drugs into our cities. After all it’s only the lowlifes that will die-makes perfect sense.

Instead of a distracting phony investigation of a sitting president that is the largest kangaroo court in the history of mankind why is no one investigating the strange relationship the US leadership has with a country that is probably more corrupt than any country that has ever existed?

How stupid do the American people have to be to allow a neighboring country to prosecute not just chemical warfare but biological and cultural warfare as well? Diseases are cropping up all over the country that were thought to be eradicated.

After what we’ve seen in the last election it is plain that the US government cannot be trusted and only a total purge of its highest ranks will give us any hope of saving our country. Meanwhile antidotes are passed out among vulnerable populations-you know, like gasmasks in WW2 London or contemporary Israel.

Only the dumbest of the dumb will reserve their tears for children in Syria while they laugh off US victims of Mexico that drop daily from heroin and fentanyl. Chemical warfare is chemical warfare even if it’s invited and tolerated.

Our government is enabling this and we need to change it fast.

The opioid epidemic was started by big pharma and they still supply the bulk of opioid drugs to Americans. Illicit drugs are just taking up the slack. Demonizing Mexico for this is beyond stupid. Next you will be looking under your bed for a Mexican.

There is no reasonable way to compare a war crime by a rouge nation against it's one citizens, to the illegal drug trade that is not being conducted by a national government. But the OP tried, nonetheless.

Does that mean you don't like it?

People use Drugs by choice, not the same comparison at all to gassing of civilians. Your idiotic comments are just that, idiotic. Seriously, do you realize how many of your posts are just plain stupid sounding?

Thanks for the input. Changes made:

Chemical attacks on children in Syria are terrible things and Americans are outraged that they could take place. It’s a shame that those same Americans are not up in arms over the fact that Mexico in Central America and the pharmaceutical industry in the US have been practicing chemical warfare against US citizens for generations. Apparently all the young people in America dying from opioid addiction are somehow relegated to some kind of second class status. All kinds of high dudgeon for kids in Syria but when it comes to kids at home no one bats an eyelash about the source of the poison.

Demanding that something be done about Syria is all well and good but how about demanding something be done about drug-running Mexico and Big Pharma in the United States? If scores of children choke on toxic gas in Syria thousands and even millions of young Americans are falling to the massive drug trade originating in Mexico along with the nested power of the American pharmaceutical industry that furtively pays off doctors and politicians.

Does anyone deny that pharmaceutical giants are addicting millions of Americans to dangerous drugs incessantly advertised on television? Twenty five years ago this advertising didn’t exist. It was only after lawyers got involved that the “ask-your-doctor” qualifier was introduced-a ridiculous mechanism that encourages patients to aggressively nag their doctors for the poison like kids whining at their parents for toys they’ve seen on TV ads.

After what we’ve seen in the last election it is plain that the US government cannot be trusted and only a total purge of its highest ranks will give us any hope of saving our country. Meanwhile antidotes are passed out among vulnerable populations-you know, like gasmasks in WW2 London or contemporary Israel.

Only the dumbest of the dumb will reserve their tears for children in Syria while they laugh off US victims that drop daily from heroin and fentanyl. Chemical warfare is chemical warfare even if it’s invited and tolerated to appease Mexico and Big Pharma.

Our paid-off government is enabling this.

Oh my forking god, what a ridiculous comparison. People are willingly purchasing drugs and ingesting them.

I couldn't read any more of the stupid. People choosing to buy drugs and use them is not someone else "practicing chemical warfare".

How about all the chemicals Trump Administrator Scott Pruitt is unleashing on Americans and their environment by gutting regulations protecting our land, our air, our water, and our health?

Choice depends heavily on affordability and accessibility. If the drugs that kill were to became so expensive that no one could afford them then first-time users would drop dramatically. This alone would save thousands of lives. What needs to be understood is the cause and effect mechanism that is in play. The cause of almost all drug issues is greed for profits whether it be Mexican cartels or pharmaceutical cartels addicting users to a product.

Drugs crossing our border from South and Central America are cheap because nothing is really being done to stop the flow or hold the Mexican Government responsible. Big Pharma on the other hand is spreading money around buying influence in Congress. If you can't get something that's addictive then your chances of becoming addicted are way low. It's all about money.

What a titanic load of crap. No, "Mexico" has not been practicing chemical warfare, or any sort of warfare, for that matter. There is literally zero evidence that the Mexican government supports the activity of the drug cartels. Your argument is the equivalent of claiming the British should have declared war on the US over NORAID.

And no, there is also no evidence that the US government is aiding or abetting drug cartels either.
