After winning an election with a majority of the electoral votes, President Trump and the Republican Party “undemocratically” appointed two Supreme Court justices. But if the appointments of Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh were undemocratic, but legitimate, Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s selection was not, according to the Davidson College professor.
The former president “unfairly and illegitimately appointed a third,” the race scholar wrote in her Truthout essay.
Garcia-Rojas (pictured) wrote that the nation’s highest court “has generally operated to enshrine whiteness as the normative baseline in constitutional law, and to strengthen this baseline by consistently favoring and reinforcing the superior status of whites in the U.S.”

liberal logic : The system that the President nominates the Justices and the Senate confirms them is 'Rigged".Trump certainly enshrined whiteness with those picks.
Insane that the system was rigged to let this one term grifter name 3 justices.

Merrick Garland Supreme Court nomination - Wikipedia
"...The 11 members of the Senate Judiciary Committee's Republican majority refused to conduct the hearings necessary to advance the vote to the Senate at large, and Garland's nomination expired on January 3, 2017, with the end of the 114th Congress, 293 days after it had been submitted to the Senate.[10] This marked the first time since the Civil War that a nominee whose nomination had not been withdrawn had failed to receive consideration for an open seat on the Court.[11] Obama's successor, Donald Trump (a Republican), nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to fill the vacancy on January 31, 2017, soon after taking office.[10]"

"...USA TODAY could find no evidence of voting before November during the 1700s or 1800s. This year, mail-in or absentee voting began in early September, and a number of states began both mail-in and in-person early voting Sept. 18 – the day Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died, according to USA TODAY. ..."

As I understand it, the classification made was "when the Senate is held by the opposing party". Despite Obama winning the popular vote and being the first black POTUS in 220 years and blacks being underrepresented on the 179 seat, second highest US court, only 16 percent of Obama's nomination to that court were black but McConnell blocked votes on all Obama nominations.
Trump nominated 54 judges to that second highest court, none of them black, all the youngest he could find, the whitest slate of appellate court nominees since Nixon's! MAGA, don't you know?"
The senate G.O.P. who confirmed those 5 nominees and blocked the Merrick Garland nomination received less than half the votes of senators who
caucus with the democrats.

You of course see no problem with Mitch McConnell violating his own rule to accelerate ACB through. That's why I'm all for raising the SC to 13 justices with President Biden immediately naming 4 democrat justices for a 7 to 6 democrat majority! I think he should have done it last year.^^^^

Rigged because those rules were applied differently by the Republican controlled senate depending on the party affiliation of the president doing the nominating.^^^^

Nope. Rules were always the same. President nominates, Senate confirms. I know you are probably one of those Dems who think if Merrick Garland came up for a vote , he was just so spectacular he would have been confirmed no question. They were never going to vote confirm him. They would have pulled a page from the Dem playbook and made up some BS reason why he was unqualified.Rigged because those rules were applied differently by the Republican controlled senate depending on the party affiliation of the president doing the nominating.

So what? All the justices seated were nominated by the president and appoved by the Senate . Exactly as it says in the constitution . The timing and ‘promises’ are irrelevantLol.
No they weren't.
In Obamas last year the GOP controlled senate said we cannot hear a Supreme Court nominee in am election year.
In Trumps last year they approved one just weeks before the election
