A New York Times journalist is facing backlash for what some critics are calling a slanted report on Christian schools in America.

Dan Levin, who covers American youth for the Times, took to Twitter in hopes to seek testimonials about people’s experiences while attending Christian schools.

The #ExposingChristianSchools was the result of the viral firestorm that took place in the wake of the confrontation between the Covington Catholic High School students and Native American elder Nathan Phillips last weekend.
So for some time, some of us have said that Christianity is being singled out for ridicule in America. Well here is some proof of that by a NYT reporter. I say it's far more widespread, but many naysayers will argue otherwise.

For sure, Christianity is the last acceptable outlet for hatefulness and bigotry for those who would otherwise be opposed to such behavior. I watch people in here, who would fight to the death to defend pretty much any other demographic, engage in some pretty hateful garbage when it comes to discussing Christianity.

That said, when you don't show up for others, you can hardly expect others to show up for you. Sometimes we build our own prisons and guillotines. Another few hundred more years of this, and maybe we'll understand what it's like to be a marginalized minority. ;)

Clearly you prove yourself wrong, by indirectly defending the haters of the Christian school lately in the news, who had done nothing wrong; except receive massive hate from an atheistic MSM, a phony war veteran who went AWOL and has a police record and a bunch of black jews. So tell me now about the last bastion of hate, because I don't see one. The MSM has been owning hate under the auspices of exposing it. Not much different than a corrupt man like Mueller running cover under the cloak of special counsel. Seems we have a lot of opposition to Christians and Trump coming from the same bunch that include plenty of atheists. So why don't you just stop pointing faux judgment finger at Christianity.

Uhh….please quote me saying anything you say I'm saying. I'm a Christian, American...if I'm pointing a finger at anyone, it includes me. I know you're not big on personal accountability, but don't get pissy with me because I am.

Good grief, bud, you need to go on vacation, or something...unless just being pissed at everyone is your schtick, regardless to whether they're on your side or not. I can agree with you, but still acknowledge our part in where we find ourselves. Please tell me you're not made of more fragile stuff, to where you can't. That would be disappointing, and rather damaging to this tough guy image you try to project... ;)

This isn't a broad attack on all of Christianity, though I'm sure those behind it would be sympathetic to such a thing.

This IS part of a broad-based campaign against the "MAGA-hat" kids.

It's not enough to report on the one kid.

It's not enough to report on his classmates.

It's not enough to attack their school.

It's not even enough to attack to their diocese.

The entire nationwide structure of Christian schools must be burned to the ground and the earth salted.

Because of three minutes of deceptively-edited video of a kid wearing a MAGA hat.

That IS what is going on here.

The MAGA hat has become a symbol of racism, division and hatred. That the MAGA crowd can't understand that is unsurpprising. Doesn't change anything though.

Assuming arguendo that that's true . . .

. . . you're right; it doesn't change a thing about what I said, and what's going on here.

It's become a symbol of racism to the Left, and their duped, ignorant minority constituents. To the rest of us it stands for the end of lawlessness at the border, the end of the idiocy of being politically correct, poorly hatched globalistic trade deals and the restoration of the freedom of speech. The Left clearly has no interest in law and order, made obvious by their hate for law enforcement. They also don't care about freedom of speech, made obvious by their Silicon Valley cohorts who try to squelch the voice of conservatives on social media and the news.

Soon it will be a symbol of a failed presidency and a toppled criminal enterprise. How inspiring!

You clearly said that Christianity is the last acceptable outlet for hatred and bigotry........so if that's a confession, speak for yourself. But that isn't the Christians I know.

American, good grief, I'm trying hard not to make you look like an dummy here, but you're not helping. What I mean is, Christianity is the last demographic it's cool to diss. Everything else is off limits. R-E-A-D S-L-O-W-E-R.

Looks like we're gonna have to agree to the death over here... (Which is a spin on fight to the death, meant jokingly, because we're agreeing...for some reason I feel the need to over explain)

Christianity brought negativity down on itself. The Christian right came out solidly for Trump. Jerry Falwell Jr invited him to speak at Liberty University. In a recent interview he said that there was nothing Trump could do that would make him with draw his support because he likes Trumps policies. That's quite a statement coming from a Christian leader of a major Christian school. When the Evangelical right solidly supports Trump they open themselves up to bad optics and criticism. Any reporter developing any story about the odd pairing of Trump and Christians is going to be slammed by Trump supporters. We identify our selves as a Christian nation yet only 20% of us attend church regularly. Only 2.1 million people identify as Evangelical Christian. I suspect these numbers are going to be dwindling because of support for Trump.

You misread him, dude.

Very convenient use of that word to lower the numbers. There are 2.3 billion Christians in the world, more than Muslims. So for you to try and minimize the number of Christians in the US is disingenuous.

Ridiculed? Yeah, it does get that. Singled out? No way. It's impossible to quantify but there's miles to go before Christianity gets near as much ridicule and abuse as Islam.
I bet this gets proven in this thread.

I only used that word because it is always mentioned coupled with Trump support. Probably because Jerry Falwell Jr is a Evangelical Christian and leader of a major Christian school. I made no effort to skew any numbers. I don't walk around with these sorts of figures in my head. I have to look them up by asking google just like you did. I have no concerns about the price of tea in the rest of the world or how many Christians there are in the rest of the world.

Hmm, Dan Levin didn't attend Christian schools himself apparently, but he's hellbent on 'exposing' them. Here's part of his bio-

Levin shifted to law and graduated from Harvard Law School in 2007. He first worked clerking for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Israel.

Born in the USA, worked for the Israeli government, now trying to damage Christian schools in America. Don't you hate it when conspiracy theories are proven accurate on a daily basis?

Oh, it's the JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZ, is it?

Breitbart and WND are just two of the websites slamming the reporter for his "attack on Christian schools". Good grief! Read his tweet. Mr Levin is not asking for stories that are negative, he is simply asking for people to talk with him about their personal experiences while attending one of those 'churchy' schools. If most of the tales told are negative, then there just might be a problem; but, until his article is published neither you nor me KNOW what is in the article.

When righties rant about lefties marching in lockstep toward a 'socialist' paradise like Venezuela, one might come to think they, the conservatives, are simply transferring their own desires to make The Handmaid's Tale a reality.

He specifically referenced "#exposechristianschools."

Those are not people looking to "expose" the wonderful experience one finds there.

He also has a record of retweeting negative stories about Christian schools.

Cool story, bro.

The hoodie has become a symbol of BLM and ANTIFA thugs. How's that work for ya?
Black youth in hoodies=division, hatred and violence.
That work? Make sense to you?
