New York Times, article says economy was setting records before pandemic.

So why doesn't Trump rule like a Democrat and strengthen Obamacare and veto the tax cut?

He's Joe out of the box.

He's not very out of the box, he's only peeking through the crack in the folded top.

Because Trump doesn't care about the country or political parties...he only cares about himself.

The cause was Democrats in Congress demanding banks give loans and mortgages to anyone and everyone - whether they could afford it or not - claiming not doing so is racist and economic discrimination.

Democrats didn't demand this. Banks need no government coercion to give loans to people who can't afford them. It was Republican refusal to regulate this behavior that caused the recession.

Well, he'd be doing alot better if he didn't cut revenue.

Just think, a trillion more dollars a year in the President's pocket, but no, he's got to do the Reprobate thing.

Trump is nothing but insanity.

At least the senile old man is sane.

The easiest answer to that question is that in order for to even have a chance of returning to that economy, first we have to control the pandemic. Since Trump's method of handling the pandemic is to ignore it, and since Biden will execute a timely and orderly rollout of a vaccine when it's available, then we know that it will be Biden who will most likely return us to the economy of before.

Now that doesn't mean that Biden will successfully return the economy to normal, but what we know is that Trump won't (and cant) return the economy to normal.

Note: I'm not interested in gas lighting so if you try it I'll ignore it.

What kind of game do you think you're playing here? Are you pretending Obama didn't inherit an economy that was deep in the worst recession in recent history?
Cut it out.
That's your excuse for cherry-picking data?

There was a recession in 2009 thanks to the policies of the previous president. Obama fixed it. Trump is now attempting to take credit for it.
Ah, I see. Every job loss during the Obama admin was Bush's fault, and every job gain was the result of Obama "fixing" things. You guys are funny.
