This is funny. Many republicans boasted about suing obama.
The never could. John Boenher could never find a law firm that would take the GOP ridiculous claims to court.
Seems lawyers are weary of being ...laughed out of court.
I think some of the more ridiculous gop lawsuits were about obama not being a citizen. I wonder if trump was involved in any of those. He did say obama wasn't a citizen and he had proof.
Boehner had to hire a third lawyer because two law firms hired previously backed out of their commitments to represent Republicans in the House of Representatives in the lawsuit.
This is not going to get the Trump family in a Christmas mood. Two days ago, the NY State Supreme Court struck down a motion to dismiss a lawsuit against Donald Trump and the directors of the Trump Foundation.

Trump Foundation lawsuit: New York state judge rejects Trump claim that he can't be sued because he is president
A New York Supreme Court judge on Friday denied a request from President Donald Trump and his family members to dismiss a lawsuit against them and the Trump Foundation.
In her ruling, Justice Saliann Scarpulla shot down an argument from the Trump family's attorneys that the case should be dismissed because the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution suggests "a sitting president may not be sued."
The suit from New York state Attorney General Barbara Underwood alleges that the charitable foundation violated state and federal laws for "more than a decade."

In her ruling, Justice Saliann Scarpulla of the New York state Supreme Court shot down an argument from the Trump family's attorneys that the case should be dismissed because the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution suggests "a sitting president may not be sued."
Scarpulla also rejected Trump's argument that the state court lacked jurisdiction over the president in this case. While the Constitution prohibits state courts from exercising "direct control" in a way that interferes with federal officers' duties, Scaruplla wrote: "Here, the allegations raised in the Petition do not involve any action taken by Mr. Trump as president and any potential remedy would not affect Mr. Trump's official federal duties."
Scarpulla noted that the defendants "have failed to cite a single case in which any court has dismissed a civil action against a sitting president on Supremacy Clause grounds, where, as here, the action is based on the president's unofficial acts."
"I find that I have jurisdiction over Mr. Trump and deny Respondents' motion to dismiss the petition against him on jurisdictional grounds," she wrote.
On news of the decision by the Supreme Court, NY Attorney General Barbara Underwood, tweeted this;
'winter is certainly coming'
You will have to wait and see how it plays. Basically any lawyer can handle it, and Trump and other Executive branch appointees cannot be subpoenaed to testify.
The idea of immunity is to not let states and cities uses Lilliputian tactics to delay and hinder the Executive branch.
But it's all lawyers showboating on the taxpayers dime. Inside they are all wanna be Avenatti's. Shakespeare was right.

So why is it a guy whop runs fake charities and refuses to pay bills is someone you so admire? What does that say about you and your ethics?
Coincidentally (or not), Roger Stone and Donald Trump associate, Jerome Corsi, will be indicted by Robert Mueller for perjury. It's quite funny that the same man who contrived the entire 'birther' conspiracy theory about Barack Obama will be indicted for lying to the FBI.
Karma
The Trump Foundation supposedly had a 'board of directors' but in fact there were none. The board hadn't met since 1999 and the man listed as Treasurer on the board didn't even know he was on the board. There's no ambiguity about criminally charging his children although there might be some ambiguity as to whether Trump can be criminally charged. These crimes are just out there right in the open, not even trying to hide the fact that it was nothing but a slush fund.
It's not only Mueller's investigation into Russia collusion that the Trump family should be concerned with, it's these other investigations such as election law violations or the chicanery about how his father passed along his fortune to his heirs. It's very unusual for anyone to do jail time for these types of crimes.
After all this is said and done, on the tail of all of this is that it will have eroded the office of the presidency and morality itself in this country. What we're seeing at the highest levels of government is disgusting. We need some serious anti-corruption reform in this country and once we have laws regarding corruption we should enforce those laws and not let this type of political corruption destroy our government from the inside out like a festering cancer.
Karma! Absolutely! :lamoCoincidentally (or not), Roger Stone and Donald Trump associate, Jerome Corsi, will be indicted by Robert Mueller for perjury. It's quite funny that the same man who contrived the entire 'birther' conspiracy theory about Barack Obama will be indicted for lying to the FBI.

It's hard to fault him.
He just wants to be like Hillary and Bill.
After what Obama did to our law enforcement, you're concerned about corruption in THIS administration?
Interestingly myopic view of the world.
Where's your actual evidence the Clinton Foundation is corrupt or fake? Oh wait, nevermind, you don't have any! Go back to watching politcal porn and stop sshowing your foolishness here would be my suggestion:lamo
