New year, new weapons: Are China's latest science fiction or battle ready?

Hong Kong (CNN)Since the beginning of January, the Chinese military has revealed a dizzying array of sophisticated and powerful new weaponry.

The testing of some of these devices has been accompanied by great fanfare. But just how plausible is the new technology in a battlefield situation?

With Tuesday's report from the US Defense Intelligence Agency that China "leads the world" in some weapons systems, a closer look at Beijing's latest claims is in order.

COMMENT:-

Obviously that so-called "DIA" so-called "report" is a pack of lies and there should be an immediate investigation of everyone involved in the release of secret national security secrets that give the Chinese secret national security secrets such as the capacity of Chinese weapons.

Right?

After all, everyone knows that the Chinese are as incapable of building anything that could even theoretically be considered to be sort of like something that could be even confused with anything even remotely comparable to the absolutely superior American stuff as were the Japanese in 1941.

Right?

There is a very good example. Huawei.

In 2010 Huawei expanded into make mobile phones. They were cheap and crap. I mean their stuff was the absolute worst crap on the market...

Now..they are arguably the world leader in mobile phone tech. Their phones, even the cheap ones, are quite good and you get a lot for your money. Their top models compete with Samsung and Google for best camera (Apple is mostly playing catch up) and on battery life..lets just say Huawei leads the pack.

Now how did they do this? US will say they stole tech, but regardless having access to the tech does not mean you know how to use it let alone take the tech to the next level.

One thing the Chinese do, that the US or anyone else really don't do...is invest in tech and infrastructure and that gives them an edge now. Ironically they are just doing what the US did after WW2, but then got too fat and lazy the last 30 to 40 years...
