In connection with the Bush administration’s new war plan our Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has proposed to develop a deal with US defense companies. He asked them to take an active part in planned rearmament of our Iraqi army. Of course, US companies and firms, involved in military business, have grasped the opportunity, because it’s a very profitable entrepot for them.
And there is no surprise for me that those who have unleashed this war in Iraq for cashing in on a growing number of military contracts, now try to force the White House to accelerate a vast rearmament program of our Iraqi army in exchange for reductions of US troops in Iraq.
Well, our premier knows the score! Taking into account the fact that the Middle East stands at the turn of a war between Sunnis and Shiites this scheme suits not only US defense companies, but also US leadership as oil prices will again raise greatly.
