So stick with old school using latin to combine genus and species or this given alternative of using indigenous knowledge of a species if any.

Trnski said it was the first animal in the world to have a tribal name included as far as he was aware.

“It is overdue recognition of traditional knowledge that can contribute to the discovery of new species.”

Pics were posted on Facebook and a Californian botanist realized it was a new species! Marking the first time in several years that FB has done any good for anybody.

The native name is OK, but hippocampus would be a fine name too.

I'm having a little trouble figuring out it's head/face in that jumble.
