New report on whistle blower complaint

Why is a president promising a foreign leader something a reason for a whistleblower to get involved? What makes doing that something the IC needs to get involved in?

Apparently it was more than enough for the IG to make the decison to send to DNI for furtherance to Congress.
That is the law? Or am I in error

Yes. lets take every conversation, telephone call, email, discussion, complaint, argument, accusation and put in Congress every day right up until the election.

That way they can't have an excuse for not doing anything since they have been there. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Hold a public hearing on what? You don't even know what it's about and you're ready to run it up to Congress? Liberals just make no sense at all.
Let Congress decide if the claim has merit since the AG and the IG won't act on it out of a feeling of partisan loyalty.

Obviously, this whistleblower seems to have something of interest. Letus hear it and see if they are true. They will be discredited if they are wrong.

But Trump doesn't want Congress to even hear the allegations that a Trump appointee IG has already reviewed and considered credible and SERIOUS.

But it's OK with you that Trump prevents anyone from knowing what the allegation was. I guess that's how Trump is cleaning up the swamp.

I would think it has a lot to do with the fact that the biggest lying POS (I got the evidence to convict Trump) snake (Adam Schiff) has something to do with it.

Just a question though, when is it that Liberals have enough egg on their faces that they decide not to believe idiots like this anymore? Haven't you had enough?

I am so glad this dips**t represents the left. He is the worst low class individual you could ever know.

The reason he has stuff to hide is because the damned media and the "resistance" is willing to use anything they can find, misrepresent or make up out of whole cloth to cut his knees out from under him. The guy can hardly fart without it becoming a CNN headline or Maddow conspiracy theory.

The key to fighting corruption is transparency. The fear that the truth will be twisted and used against you is no excuse for hiding the truth.

Maybe you're right. Maybe Trump has done nothing wrong. But what about a future president who has done something wrong invoking the same executive privilege and obstructing all investigations by refusing to comply with subpoenas?

What does the whistleblower have to do with Adam Schiff? What does the IG that Trump appointed have to do with Adam Schiff?

Whistleblower Filed Complaint Over Multiple Trump Actions: Report | HuffPost
Apparently there were more than one incident and promise made by our President to a foreign leader. This becomes more interesting, but does two or three promises make it better or worse or does it make no difference. I guess for Trumpsters no matter what he promised or how often makes no difference in their backing of this president. I wonder what promises he made and if what the promises made concerned would ever make those who support him turn their back on him.

After Trump revealed the location of a couple of nuke subs, nonchalantly, to Duterte, I don't trust this president with a telephone and no one listening.

Where are the hundreds of these insiders and anonymous officials that are supposedly close to Trump the media has been supposedly quoting for 2 and a half years? Funny how not one of these so called fighters for freedom have come forward.

If the AG and the IG won't act on it, why would you think Congress would even discuss it?

Its because its nothing but yet another fake news story just like we have seen week after week. Here is a question though? We do these leftist get tired of coming up empty handed just to run down another rabbit hole just to get egg on their face before running down another rabbit hole?

What does the whistleblower have to do with Adam Schiff? What does the IG that Trump appointed have to do with Adam Schiff?

Because Adam Schiff is the guy running in front of the cameras with this story at every corner of the White House. Hes the idiot that is saying he is going to sue the White House over the complaint. He is the guy accusing federal law enforcement of blocking the complaint. They didn't block anything. They saw if for what it is. Just another partisan fake news hit piece they don't want to anything to do with.

What an embarrassment

Americans who think they are intelligent and honorable are supporting a crook (Trump).

Americans who think they are christians or champion family values are supporting a slimeball who is as dirty as they come (Trump).

And they're only doing it for one reason.

Nixon tried to hide behind executive privilege too. It's the last refuge of a crooked president.

Its the very refuge EVERY president has employed since the beginning of time. You don't get to follow the president around to find some single hit point you want to take out of context just to use against him just because you disagree with his administration. Thats what cowards do.

Perfect example, You have no clue who it is or what they have to say but you have already decided its got to be criminal.

OK, was that true of the porn star payments? He initially denied making any payments.

Was that true of the letter he dictated to Don Jr. claiming the meeting with Russians was about adoptions?

Is that why he asked McGhan to lie and deny that he ordered him to fire Mueller?

Trump has a proven track record of dishonesty. You can't just blame the "resistance" alone.

It's not IG that's protecting Trump. The IG was appointed by Trump and the IG reviewed the claim and believes the claim is both credible and serious. it's the Director of National Intelligence that is blocking Congress from know more.

Agreed, he is acting DNI. Trump does have a ton of those acting, not Senate confirmed & hanging on a coat string.

I haven't decided anything. I don't even believe I need to know what the whistleblower found concerning. I just believe a whistleblower's concerns should be looked at by someone who is not part of the administration. Don't you?

Like Schiff? the wizard of disinformation? ...whistleblower could claim Trump left a $100 tip in hotel and Schiff would twist it into National Security Issue because maid was American citizen with Russian ascent...

No matter who the president is (Democrat or Republican) nobody in his/her administration gets to go outside executive privilege no matter what they think.

If you do it one time, its on forever. No, I do not want to know what this whistle blower has to say. Not because I am not interested, but because its a violation of the privilege and will happen to Biden (If elected) or anyone else. You can't just do it under Trump. If you allow it now it will be forever a part of every administration that only weakens the power of office.

I want our president to be able to converse freely with his administration without fear of personal retribution or public scrutiny. If this is allowed one time do you know what will happen next. EVERY SINGLE person that was in Obama's administration will be subpoenaed to testify outside of his presidencies privilege. I don't want that either.

That would include Nunes, Burr, McCarthy, and McConnell, as well as Schiff, Warner, Pelosi, and Schumer; the current gang of eight.

I have to admit that some of the bumper sticker things that Fox News has come up with over the years are brilliant. They con their viewers as badly as Donald Trump cons the voters. Your comment is a great example of that.

People that don't give Fox News credit for covering for republicans are really missing the boat. They are brilliant at it and their slogans and catch phrases work perfectly on the most gullible Americans. Heck, even the red hat is a brilliant marketing ploy for their marks.

Trump's the guy who likes saying things like pleading the fifth if proof of guilt. Why would hiding behind a different mis-applied privilege matter?

And what the **** does a TRUMPIST thing he has to say about it? You lot would chant "lock her up!" at every rally even though the FBI never recommended charges in her circumstances (and nevermind your own failure to care about sloppiness with confidential/classified info: Team Trump using unsecured devices, Trump giving unqualified family members security clearances they should never have, Trump recklessly "declassifying" info by blurting it out obliviously, so on and so forth).

You have no credibility to talk about someone reacting to Trump's unusual paranoid behavior in regard to this whistleblower.

You have less than no credibility to talk about someone assuming guilt when you started from the assumption that it is "some single hit point you want to take out of context"

Basically, who do you people think you're fooling? You're not fooling anyone. You're virtue-signalling slavish loyalty to a corrupt scumbag to other people who have slavish loyalty to him, but you aren't convincing anyone new. Your answers are predictable. I know what the Trumpists will say after reading the OP of any thread. Every single time I scroll down, there it is. Hell, I can even post at the beginning of the thread what Trumpists will say and they show up to defiantly say it anyway.

More stupid conspiracy swill?

And from the people who had no problems with things like 7+ investigations that were openly designed to smear Hillary with an email server and about how Benghazi unfolded in name only? From people who lost their **** over Obama ordering mustard? Putting his feet on a desk one time?

I think I do know who you are trying to fool: yourselves. After three years of endless lies in defense of Trump, you just cannot bring yourself to admit fault. So you dig and dig and dig, and then if he loses in Nov 2020, you'll pretend it never happened and refuse to talk about it. You'll just dodge every post about what you said in the past, as you dodge what was said about Obama/Hillary/etc.

]

Could be a promise relating to the use of our Intelligence services either electronic or human that is simply contrary to the National Security interests of the United States.... a promise like, we will not have eyes on while you are doing XXXXX in YYYYY sovereign territory or we will remove our human intelligence assets from XXXXX.

That would surely make it an Intelligence issue and a National Security issue and sounds so Trumpian its not funny.

That would be something the President should not be saying to a foreign leader just as exposing that there is wiring inside the border slats designed to identify an incursion was flat stupid.

When Trump turned to his general and asked him to explain the wiring in the border slats further, the general refused. Now the world knows that the slats in the renovated section of border barrier have been internally wired and the first step to defeating a system is knowing its components. If that system was a system that could not be defeated even knowing it was there, the general in question might have acquiesced to Trump's idiot request that he explain it.

Yet here you are thinking you are entitled to a presidents privileged conversations just because you want it.

What does the whistleblower have to do with Adam Schiff? What does the IG that Trump appointed have to do with Adam Schiff?

Just be thankful that he didn't say Obama, Clinton (either one), Comey, Strzok, or the Deep State had something to do with it. Although the day is still young.

well I sure as hell am not going to stop backing him based on an unfounded rumor and classified info we do not know what it is just yet. ESPECIALLY not after the last 2 years of DEM nothingburger.

You should have just stopped after the first 12 words. We already know.
