Wow!

The balancing act for Republicans in office now? Being primaried for defying Trump vs. being voted out in the general election.

Judging by the numbers, impeachment has the support of everyone but Republicans. So, winning the GOP primary in anything other than a super-red state or district while opposing impeachment is just a ticket to lose badly in November. Of course, they could always try to pivot after the primary to turn against Trump between March and November.

It should be interesting to see what happens in the next 13 months.

The pressure on him needs to stay this high. Every corrupt action he and his administration takes needs to have a spot light on it non-stop.

Standard stuff. Run towards the dominant party wing in the primary the towards the political center in the general.

Agreed. He's banking on Trump fatigue. We should turn that on him, which is exactly what I believe has been happening.
