Some police officers here in Los Angeles are telling people who are thinking about visiting this city to think twice.

Of course, the city officials are livid with them for scaring away tourists.

I am guessing that some cops in New Orleans are thinking the same.

This country is becoming so violent that it seems only fair that foreign countries should issue a warning to their citizens to avoid certain American cities. Americans, of course, have long been aware of our especially dangerous cities (like New Orleans), but naive international visitors haven't been.

It broke my heart to learn that last week a French tourist was murdered in New York City by a horrible being with a long criminal record.

This orgy of violence will never end and will no doubt get even worse in the coming decades.

Well, you know those city folk.
