Okay, I will acknowledge it right off. I visit another forum, and it's down right now. So yes, I need my fix, but I am also just burning some time because I'm waiting for my co-worker.

I mostly read forums to browse the news. Scanning a few comments also helps me get a better perspective on the story.

Oh, I didn't really answer the question of Phys251. Not sure how long I would stick around. I see a lot of banned users, but also some funny stuff. For example, I see a user named AgentHomo. There is also a member with a Nazi sign who is not banned.
 
Need a thick skin to survive here, or be a SNOWFLAKE
 
I already see someone who's a member of the forum I visit. That forum is down, and here he is! He is paid on that forum. lol

Edit: I see another one from my forum. Well, this is going to be fun. woo!

Because, expressing your political views, opens you up for personal attacks. That is why it is helpful to be a SNOWFLAKE - if you get my drift
 
Why is there only one option for a reaction to a post? One can only LIKE a post.

The forum turnkey company for this site is Xenforo. They have a wide array of options for reactions. I suggest adding a few.

Ok, I don't want to spoil your party, since you obviously do lack a sense of humor, tell ya what, you can have the last word and I won't rebut so you can feel you won something.

I'll throw in a welcome, big mike 1256, although you'll see from my posts that I have this 100-word trouble AND so many around here really aren't sure what to make of me, except I'm an old fart who preaches a lot. But folks pay attention, because my preaching makes sense.

For example, I no longer view certain sites, like this platform, as "forums" because most of the citizens here are humans. I refer to this as a "Community" and I write "most of" because I would not bet that all bots are screened out by the software here. Or the humans that are on the Mod/Admin Team.

Oh yes, I am doing a rare welcome, as I sense just from your start that you're going to be around here for a tad bit of time, no matter that the other "community" will recover.

Oh yeah, air ain't free if you work way below the surface of the Earth, or in a submarine.
 
Hi Mike-------this is a good site. A good mix of left & right, even though I swear no one really knows what those are.......
