The New Hampshire Union Leader has endorsed Democrat Joe Biden for president in a blow to President Trump, who is set to visit the state on Sunday.

While the president has had an antagonistic relationship with the Union Leader, he had seen New Hampshire as one of a few states that Democrat Hillary Clinton won in 2016 that he could win in 2020. Polls show him trailing Biden in the Granite State.

Four years ago, the conservative editorial board of the Union Leader endorsed Gary Johnson rather than endorse Trump or Clinton.

I used to live in New Hamster & knew the editor of that paper. There was a case where I accused him of 'Trial by Newsprint.'

UL endorsed LBJ in '64 which was a political earthquake in the state and nationally. UL wasn't alone either as many national Republicans said they could not support Goldwater to include historically Republican and Conservative media.

Old line yankee Republican states like NH, VT, ME went for LBJ while Republicans got blown out of the Congress. The Right did themselves in with Goldwater cause LBJ & Congress gave America Medicare, Medicade, the Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act, a major shift in immigration policies toward Latin America and away from Europe, so much of it all being more New Deal kind of stuff that even Reagan could not reverse.

The extreme consequence of the Right giving America Trump to blow it all up will likely be to self immolate while smashing their new hero Putin's wildest wet dreams besides.
