New Covid variant allegedly coming back

Government pushed getting polio vaccine.
I guess if you are old enough, you refused to get that as well?
As well as measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria?

My family most likely caught the latest version of covid in the last week.

Sore muscles, joints headaches eyc

Thank you for sharing.

As the primary caregiver responsible for the health and well being of my two elderly in laws this was not on my radar.

I’ve now made a note to speak to their primary care providers - as well as the administrator of the memory care facility my MIL is at - to make sure that they receive the most up to date COVID and flu shots here in the immediate future.

Because they are in the most vulnerable segment of our population.

And, again, I encourage everyone to speak to THEIR DOCTOR around this and all true health related topics. Not to random advice found in the internet.

Such ignorant thinking especially coming from someone supposedly up in years.
You may find yourself a darwin award winner one day.

I'm about to turn 50, so when I go in for my Shingles vax, I'll likely get the COVID shot as well. Already got my flu jab for the year last week at my annual physical.

My Girlfriend lost her Father to Covid.
He died months before the first vaccines became available.
I caught Covid luckily after I was vaccinated and I'm convinced that I'd be dead if it had been before.
I may have had it a second time 6 months ago based on symptoms alone. Regular vaccinations help ease and lessen symptoms as well as slow any spread to others.
So when I hear anti-vax idiocy, it not only makes me angry but It also makes me sad for the families and loved ones of the idiots that refuse to get vaccinated because of their own stupidity and selfishness.

You are assuming governments are rational.

Governments especially democratic ones typically represent the will of the public
They should, but don't.

One is a fool if he still believes governments have our best interests at heart.

At my next appt, my doctor will bring up whatever shots and stuff I might need and we will talk about them.

Don’t really care what a rando on the internet says.

To me, that seems like a common sense approach to the subject.
Right, and isn't the flu vaccine modified every year or so to reflect changes in the virus that's out there? Won't Covid shots be similar?

Sounds a bit paranoid.

Then vote for a different government. Dont blindly vote for the same party year after year or people year after year

Yeah, let's listen to a "conservative", they've shown suuuuch good judgement.

The dangers of ignorance and paranoia. Government can both be the evil that does things like Operation Artichoke and the government that helps the health of the country with good vaccines. You should learn to tell which is which, not wrongly say it's only one.

Actually, the INFORMED thing to do is to vote for the same party election after election. When were Republicans last the better choice? 1860.

Local and state elections? In the US south east up until the 1960. The Democrats in that region before that time were not all that decent people

I want to hear from the antivaxxers who didn't get vaccinated and died (not the ones who are still alive).

True, but the topic wasn't local and state elections, it was national policy on things like vaccines, I was commenting on the president.

No you won't . I tried to do that last year. They won't give you both at the same time. That is because if you have a reaction, they will want to know what shot you had the reaction to.
