NBC Publishes 23 Conflicting Positions by Donald Trump

“……………… Trump’s shifting stances aren’t just challenging for reporters tasked with covering him— they’re also a source of consternation for his party as more than a few of his stated policies directly contradict the GOP platform.

You can say that again! Last night's town hall proved beyond a doubt that Donald Trump doesn't give a rat's butt about the Republican platform.

The government is responsible for HOUSING?!? HEALTHCARE?!? EDUCATION?!?..............

So this morning, NBC has published a "full list" of Donald Trump's flip flops………………
A Full List of Donald Trump'''s Rapidly Changing Policy Positions - NBC News

“………… It's difficult to glean a platform from Trump's powerfully incoherent rhetoric while navigating the quicksand-like task of separating fact from Trump's many exaggerations and outright falsehoods in thousands of interviews. It's perhaps harder still to get the GOP front-runner to address policy questions directly……….”

Yall may wish to check to see ikf you think you know where The Donald stands and is in keeping with what you think he stands for………….There is good reason the folks in NY call him “CON MAN…….L IAR…………. CHARLATAN ….THIEF……..

And we are surprised... why?

Trump's campaign, and comments on politics going back a long ways before then, is filled with conflicting positions.

Again....it's not what Trump IS, but what he's NOT.

He's not a politician.
He's not "establishment."
He's not one of these career politicians that are completely out of touch with the business side of society.

It could be a dog. It could be a statue. It could be a dog turd. Some folks don't care. They're sick and tired of career lying politicians, and they don't want to fall for the next one.

And you couldn't do this with any other candidate? Hillary is always updating her views, pandering (bribing) to the next audience for votes.

Agreed. I'm Trump's most severe critic, but to single out Trump on this when both Mitt Romney and Hillary were just as bad if not worse is bad journalism.

Trump makes the inexcusable mistake of saying what he actually thinks instead of what he should say. Then the handlers get after him and convince him to reject what he said earlier. In modern American politics, it is unacceptable for a politician to say what he or she actually thinks.

People who would vote for a dog turd like Trump just because they're angry strike me as being too childish to vote.

Ever heard the expression "cutting off your nose to spite your face"?

There's nothing wrong with saying what one actually thinks. (That is, in fact, the appeal of Bernie to many who aren't as far left as he is).

The problem is when a candidate cannot decide whether they're going to say what they think or say what the polls suggest they should think, making them look clueless or a complete flip-flopper.

The problem may be particularly notable when that candidate is running on behalf of a party who made mountains of hay with phrases like "he was for it before he was against it! Neener neener neener!"

Nonsense. Only Trump supporters should be allowed to vote.

And now we have it - a trumpeter admits that he would vote for a dog turd.

And this is exactly why the establishment spits on citizens by running up the same career liars as they do. The establishment knows that suckers like you will vote like the sheep they want you to vote for. Why should politicians actually serve the people, if they've got nothing to lose? Why should they listen to their constituents, if they really don't have to?

I've never said I was a "Trumpster." I just enjoy the idea that his campaign is scaring the living hell out of the establishment. His campaign, win or lose, is making a lot of people notice what a farce our political system is. How close to soviet-style cronyism we have. How the majority of citizens (by electoral vote count) want Candidate A, and the establishment basically says "fk you, you'll get Candidate B and you'll shut up and like it.

I'm a "sucker" and the only way to prove I'm not a "sucker" is to vote for Trump?

Were you so busy putting together that personal attack that you failed to see you've contradicted yourself on your own terms? Do you really not understand that if you vote for Trump as a purely knee-jerk reaction to "the establishment" is to behave no differently than what you allege?

Obviously I disagree. Saying what you think makes great sense in everyday life but not in politics. Neither Trump nor Sanders can win the white house unless they are the two nominees. Then one of them would win. People don't vote based on what people think. They vote based on what people say, as nonsensical as that is. Knowing that, the successful candidate must say things that will lead to the win whether they believe it or not. It is a serious weakness in our system.

I didn't say "I think Sanders will win because he says what he thinks". I said that the appeal of Sanders to many who disagree with him on the issues is that he at least appears to say what he means.

Two different things...

(And of course, if a lot of people agree with what you think, then it may not be such a problem to say what you think)

And yet, you do not seem willing to accept that someone can simultaneously (1) enjoy the idea that his campaign is scaring the living hell out of the establishment, but also (2) think that Trump is a complete piece of **** and would potentially be a very dangerous President.

After all, you threw these smears at me simply for saying that I consider it childish to vote for someone, no matter who that person is, solely because they're angry at the establishment:

And this is exactly why the establishment spits on citizens by running up the same career liars as they do. The establishment knows that suckers like you will vote like the sheep they want you to vote for. Why should politicians actually serve the people, if they've got nothing to lose? Why should they listen to their constituents, if they really don't have to?

The simple fact is, that knee-jerk support for Trump is indistinguishable from the alleged knee-jerk support for "the establishment".

You're guilty of the crime you allege against me.

That's bad.

I nominate my dog.

She's female and lies much less than Hillary.

And she's totally consistent.

In the end, my vote will be against either Hillary or Bernie. Not FOR someone, but against whom I think are dangerous candidates. A pathological liar and a socialist. It will probably be Cruz, despite his evangelical-wannabe tendencies. I'd rather him than "Obama Lite."

I'd gladly vote for your dog over Hillary. Send me her political stances. I'm sure they're better than the Hildabeast's or Bernie Hood

She's strong on defense of the roommates' baby, but consistently wants more treats without doing anything extra.

So probably a wash.

I'm not a Trumpeteer either, but I am enjoying the circus. Do you really believe that people cannot be free thinkers?

Yes, but very few of them vote Republican. Or Democrat.
