The people's champion spoke on the China subject:

LeBron James believes Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey "wasn't educated" before he sent the tweet in support of antigovernment protesters in Hong Kong that damaged relations between China and the NBA.

"I don't want to get into a [verbal] feud with Daryl Morey, but I believe he wasn't educated on the situation at hand, and he spoke," James said before the Los Angeles Lakers played the Golden State Warriors in a preseason game at Staples Center. "And so many people could have been harmed not only financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually. So just be careful what we tweet and say and we do, even though, yes, we do have freedom of speech, but there can be a lot of negative that comes with that, too."

LeBron James: Daryl Morey was 'misinformed' before sending tweet about China and Hong Kong

LeBron James is 100% correct.

This is a civil matter. There are a lot of groups taking the law into their own hands on the streets. These protesters are bringing mayhem and destruction on the street. They are breaking the law. Morey's comments were completely inappropriate for someone in his position.

Don’t pollute this thread with that garbage. You already have a thread about it.

You know what someone used to say:

Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose

The NBA has now banned all dissent from fans under the guise of racism.

The NBA claims this is to combat racism in stadiums but in reality will mostly be used to ban those who support Free Hong Kong

NBA enacting zero-tolerance rules for abusive, hateful fan behavior

It was the right move. The NBA is in China not because of the Chinese government because the Chinese people LOVE the NBA and basketball.

The leave China, the NBA would be punishing the great citizens of China.

This is no different when the WWE signed a deal with Saudi Arabia to host their main events over there.

This is not about the governments but for the people. The WWE is making progress because the citizens of Saudi Arabia get to witness females wrestle and get a taste of America.

The NBA gives a taste of freedom of democracy to the Chinese people. This is not about politics but something greater.

So the NBA should silence its US fans in the name of Chinese fans? That’s even more stupid than the real reason the NBA is doing this

We are a global economy. No company or business operates with the idea of doing business in only a few select countries.

Imagine if you are a drug company and created a cure for cancer. Would you refuse to give Chinese cancer patients this drug because you dislike the Chinese government?

Time to grow up and wear your big boy pants. The majority of NBA players and fans like China. This was caused by a rogue NBA gm with a political agenda. Adam Silver is next. He's really blowing it.

The NBA can survive without China, the NBA can’t survive without the US.

This wasn’t caused by a “rogue GM”, this was caused by a nation oppressing it’s people and using its economic presence to silence dissent from other countries.

The NBA is a private business and makes 10% of its revenue from China.

Employees don't have a constitutional right to free speech at work.

Chinese government and politics is not the concern of the NBA, people in the NBA shouldn't be talking about this issue. What is so hard to understand???

Again, I am not talking about the specific context of Morey's tweet but it was incredibly stupid. The Rockets have the most relations with China compared to any other NBA team. Morey ruined that for what?

His tweet was dangerous. It will potentially cause a lot of damage economically and politically. Imagine if the NBA loses China, how much revenue do NBA employees lose? A lot!

I believe in globalization and a global economy. The NBA has every right to want to do business in China. Apple has every right to sell and make their phones in China.

If we close off China completely, we would suffer a global recession and likely a global war. Millions of lives would be lost.

I fully expect Laker nation to show up in full force on the "road."

LeBron's will go for MVP #5. Anthony Davis for DPOY.

Warriors will miss Durant
Lebron and AD should make a splash
Kawhi with George are probably the better team in LA
Rockets with Westbrook should be fun
Giannis will be MVP
But, Philly may be the team to beat
East is stacked IMO

There are no players, coaches or GMs employed by the NBA. The NBA serves at the leisure of the owners.

Millions of lives are already being lost in China, your policy of appeasement is weak Neville

Looks like LeBron and AD fizzled in the Fourth, a quarter Kawhi owned outright.

Give this one to the Kawhiet Man.

95-86! Did someone actually play defense in this game?

Jazz vs. Lakers - Box Score - October 25, 2019 - ESPN

Edit: looks like it.

Los Angeles forced 23 turnovers by a talented Utah squad and won comfortably behind that gritty defense.

"We are the real deal defensively," Davis said. "We try to lay our hats on defense. We want to be a defensive-oriented team, and guys came in and were pesky today."

Markelle Fultz has made 2 3-pointers with the Magic, 2 more than Ben Simmons has made his entire career!

Warriors finally won a game....Oh, it was against the 0-4 Pelicans.

Raptors at 3-1 are a surprise. Pacers at 0-3 are too.

The raptors are the clippers of last year. Really competitive and will win a lot of games. Zero chance of winning another ring.

...which beats being the Warriors of this year.
