West:
Will the Warrior domination continue?
Thunderstruck, is OKC on the up?
Did Houston do enough to go deep into the playoffs?
Can Minnesota now compete with GS, Hous and Thunder?
What's LA going to bring to the table, be it a Laker or Clipper city?


East:
Will Isaiah be able to play much for the Cavs, or will his hip be a real issue?
How good is Derick Rose going to be alongside LBJ?
Boston, is Kyrie enough to gt them over the LBJ hump?
Wizards, my choice for surprise of the year--I just do not know whether that direction is up or down.
Heat should compete.
Philly might be on the rise, finally.
 
I don't know how you can still be excited for the NBA season.

The Warriors are still the Harlem Globetrotters of the NBA while the only team that could even resemble their kryptonite would have been the Cavs, but they've imploded.

PG-13 is insanely talented but it came to light on his departure that he's a menace in the locker room. He provides the much needed two-way 3 the Thunder have needed since Durant's departure but not nearly an upgrade enough to compete with the Warriors.

Houston did not do enough to go deep in the playoffs, but fortunately for them, the big teams they would normally compete against have weakened. The Clippers lost CP3, and Dion Jordan. The Jazz lost Hayward. The Aside from the Warriors, and the Spurs, the Rockets will most likely competing with the Timberwolves, or the Thunder in the second round.

East:
Isaiah is gonna take a while to heal, and a hip injury isn't exactly something you can play through when you play the game the way IT does.

I don't know how effective Rose is going to be playing alongside with LBJ. Like Irving, he plays better with the ball in his hand than having someone else handling the ball. He can be a great guy to have off the bench to run the offense while LeBron is resting, but he wouldn't mesh well as a starting 1 alongside LeBron. Boston seemed get really good value for the trade given the fact IT has a rather serious hip injury. We will have to see if Boston upgrading and the Cavs self-destruction are enough to dethrone the Cavs as the Eastern champs.

The Wizards are always a super quiet team, they still have a consistent team and I think their arrow is going up.

But honestly, unless something magical happens, the Warriors re going to repeat and stomp on every team to another 70+ win season.
 

I think Crawford, Love, LBJ, JR Smith, TT, Rose and even a half season of Isaiah are still the beast of the East. I'll be surprised to see them lose ground to the Celtics. Who are really what? A good three point shooter who needs to be set up with picks before being passed to by a point guard who does not pass the ball, but rather likes to dribble for 10 seconds out of every 24?

I'm all in for Butler, Wiggens and Towns on the Wolves. That, plus keeping one eye in LA to see what the Lakers can do. Houston may be fun to watch too.

Warriors really are the Harlem Globetrotters. And, it's fun rooting against them.

He left OKC and he was mad they didnt support him. This is why the NBA is full of ******s and why the NBA is in a rough spot right now. It was poised to overtake baseball a few years ago but it has taken a major step backwards since that overpriced TV deal.
 
NBA is the Kardashian league. Drama queen league works too.

But, the games are fun to watch when two good teams play. Problem is the games suck when either a good team plays a bad one or when two bad teams play.

Not always. The Christmas games are pretty good, as are the occasional match ups between conference rivals later in the season. OK v. Houston or Minnesota v Golden State might be exciting this year. And, it's always fun to watch your favorite team play regardless who they face. I bet Laker fans will be thrilled all year, and Philly may actually have a reason to start watching the Sixers again.

Cleveland v Boston will be must see for sure.
 

Just putting good teams against each other doesn't make for a good game anymore. Players aren't driven by the buring desire to compete like they used to. Teams are always resting players and going half speed because the regular season doesn't matter.

Even though none of the games played in the months with an "R" in them matter, it's still fun to watch certain games. And, like I said, watching your favorite team is always worthwhile.

When that happens, I switch favorite teams.

Bulls fan from '84 until '98.
Timberwolves fan until about 2005 or 6.
Anyone but Lakers or Heat until 2015.
Cavs since LBJ moved back home.

Carmelo was traded to OKC.
D wade was released by the Bulls and likely will sign with Miami or San Antonio.

No. It's the what happens when you move a lot. I moved back to Chicago same year Michael arrived. I lived in Greenville when Garnett was tearing up high school gyms in neighboring Maudlin. And, I happened to arrive back in Ohio after living in Georgia around the time a young LBJ was single handily beating the Pistons in the Eastern Conference finals.

I dont think Melo is willing to acknowledge being the thrid best player on his team and willing to take a 3rd options share of the usage, along with high usage rates for PG and Westbrook its going to be a fight for the ball and Westbrook will turn back into the guy he was with KD just jacking up bad shots just to get his in.
