Ive made threads about this over 2 years ago and im glad that it looks like we are going to take steps to move it forward. Im not sure if ill like the steps or agree with them yet since it hasn't been done but it IS something IMO thats very important and needs done. We are the only major country who doesn't do it. It will have positive effects on many current and future families and could even possible lower abortion. Protections for families IMO is vital to a healthy society and work force.

Btw, I still fail to see why you should be owed something when you are not at work. Why should I pay someone when I'm getting nothing in return?
 

The question that immediately comes to mind is why you want it? What should it achieve? Don't forget, these programs are ultra expensive and use up money that could be used for other things.
