Pelosi has supported outright amnesty for illegal workers, including granting citizenship status to 500,000 illegal workers in the agriculture industry. Pelosi has a special affection for illegal aliens, no doubt thinking how liberalized entry for poor migrant workers could help in staffing the non-union vineyards that Pelosi and her multi-millionaire husband own in Napa Valley as well as the chain of restaurants they own. Pelosi, the ardent advocate for labor causes, apparently has chosen not to hire members of the United Farm Workers to pick her vineyard grapes while at the same time she has chosen to sell those grapes to non-union wineries. She has an obvious conflict of interest every time that she votes on an immigration security bill because she and her husband personally benefit from the influx of cheap labor. Is Pelosi looking out for her own financial interests, calculating how a law imposing strict penalties on employers of illegal aliens might affect her vineyard business instead of focusing on how porous borders will affect the security of everyday American citizens?

Does anyone doubt that Pelosi will try to push comprehensive immigration amnesty every chance she would get as Speaker?

Here is a sample of her voting record on illegal immigration:

She voted against a bill that would require employers of "cheap foreign labor" like her to be liable for the reimbursements if one of their undocumented employee seeks medical attention. (i.e. let taxpayers pick up the tab for medical attention for her employees)

She voted in favor of rewarding illegal aliens from Mexico with social security benefits. (i.e. benefits for her employees that wouldn't cost her anything.)

She voted against a bill to bar drivers' licenses for illegal aliens. (I guess she wants to make it easier for her "workers" to get to work)

she opposed legislation requiring presentation of a legitimate government-issued photo ID to prove eligibility to vote. (maybe she doesn't mind if illegal vote?)

Pelosi’s hometown of San Francisco is one of the sanctuary cities she voted to protect for the benefit of illegal aliens. (if police can't ask for proof of citizenship, again, doesn't it make it easier for her to staff her vineyards and restaurants?)

She voted against strengthening our immigration law with regard to the deportability of alien terrorists. (I don't know why she would oppose this unless she is against anything that might interfere with totally open borders)

So she even voted against a measure that would have cut off the use of U.S. taxpayers’ funds to tip off illegal aliens as to where the Minutemen citizen patrols may be located! (again, I guess the Minutemen are interfering with her concept of totally open borders)

She opposed the Secure Fence Act of 2006. (She's afraid the fence might work)

She voted against a border security and enforcement bill which required that all businesses must use an electronic system to check if all new hires have the legal right to work in this country. (It might interfere with the staffing of her vineyards and her restaurant chain.

As Speaker of the House she would be a trainwreck concerning illegal immigration.

Think of her when you vote.

Those who oppose amnesty for illegals, whether it's outright amnesty or guest worker program amnesty, if Pelosi does become speaker, can expect Pelosi to try to push amnesty at every turn. The part that worries me the most is that Bush, who is a RINO on immigration, will be her ally on immigration amnesty.

Karl Rove certainly could have made a case against Pelosi employing illegals, because she is very vulnerable on the issue of employing illegals. They could have smeared Pelosi but didn't. The RNC didn't donate any funds to Pelosi's Republican opponent, who is strong against immigration, because Bush, while he doesn't want to lose the Republican majority in the House, doesn't want to lose Pelosi in the House.

Bush and Pelosi will be married on the immigration amnesty issue.

If you're against amnesty for illegals, consider voting for those candidates whose record is strong against illegal immigration.
