IMO this kind of crap is unnaceptable.

these sleazy attack adds simply have to go!!!!!

the one running in TN by the dems against (R) Bob Corker are equally as slimey.

one says "Corker got three raises while mayor of Chatanooga" lol.....ummm, okie....how LONG was he mayor?

it also says "he made millions while he was mayor" lol......ummm, yeah, he has OTHER BUSINESSES that make him money. of course they want to make it sound like that was his freakin sallary.

I think its pathetic that these adds are able to slam someones character by half truths and not telling the ENTIRE story.

Arcuri said he had "never seen such an unfair commercial. I have a 12-year-old daughter. She's going to have to go to school and hear other kids talk about this."

Disgusting

If what Acuri's campaign said about the phone call and the records is true then the person who produced and OK'd the ad should be fired immediately and an appology issued to Arcuri.

So, if he only misdialed, then why was the state billed. A friend of mine's scumbag brother in law dialed a phone sex line. He had to give a credit card. He gave my friend's credit card number, and my friend got hit with $600.00 on his credit card. His brother in law went to state jail for a year for credit card abuse.

So my question is, was giving a government credit card number to the phone sex line also a misdial? If so, then the GOP has a black eye to give to the Democrats. Payback. Hehe.

Funny that you bring up a Dem attack ad.
But I agree these below the belt slimy Rove style attack ads need to go.

This really is a bullshit ad.

But Arcuri's campaign released records showing the call two years ago from his New York City hotel room to the 800-number sex line was followed the next minute by a call to the state Department of Criminal Justice Services. The last seven digits of the two numbers are the same.

And this, by the way, is why I love my district:

Arcuri, the district attorney in Oneida County, said the ad was "clearly libelous" and threatened to file a lawsuit. His GOP opponent, state Sen. Ray Meier, described it as "way over the line."

The ad's sponsor, the National Republican Congressional Committee, stood by the 30-second message. Spokesman Ed Patru insisted it was "totally true" and said Meier was not consulted.

The two candidates, who say they are friends, are running to fill the seat left open by the retirement of Republican Rep. Sherwood Boehlert.

Earlier in the week, both candidates said they were disappointed by the attack ads produced and funded by their national party committees. They said campaign-finance laws prevent them from screening the commercials.

Politics with respect, done the way it's supposed to be. It's amazing to think about, but when people from home talk about this race, no matter how strongly they support one candidate, every single person ends their statement with "But I guess it wouldn't really be that bad if XXX won." These are two great candidates and 2 genuinely good people as well, and I'll be happy no matter what happens this fall.

nothing funny about it.

I have an idea, why dont you show us a link where you started a thread posting something negative about Democrats?

:2wave:

Oops. After reading the story more carefully this time, this does look like a libelous ad. Ignore my first response.

the left is just as "desperate" as anyone. desperated to get power back that they deem as theirs to begin with.

and to act like the cons are the only ones using slimey tactics is extremely narrow minded.
