Did N.J. governor lack seat belt? - Politics - MSNBC.com

Have people read about Corzine's accident? He has sustained some serious injuries, and it appears he was NOT wearing his seat belt (even though New Jersey requries it). What the hell is this man thinking?

I hope that everyone wears their seat belts--NO MATTER WHAT! When I was in high school, my older sister fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a stone wall. She broke her hip, shattered her knee cap, and, worst of all, broke her neck. Lucky for her, she was not paralyzed. She had to wear a halo due to her broken neck (it is literally screwed into your head in 4 different places to immobilize the neck). That happened in 1985. She is going to have to undergo a hip replacement in the very near future (she is 45).

Had she been wearing her seat belt--she would NOT have broken her neck, h shattered her knee cap, or broken her hip. I bet the same can be said about many of Corzine's injuries.

PLEASE PLEASE wear your seat belt. I have worn a seat belt since my sister's accident, and now I feel naked without one. I would be more forgiving of Corzine if he was sitting in the back seat, but he was in the passenger seat. Talk about STUPID.

Living in NJ, I am appalled that the governor would do something this stupid. I have worn my seatbelt everytime I get into a car, ever since I learned to drive...even if I'm driving across the parking lot. It takes two seconds and can save your life.
