MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell Announces He's Launching 'MyStore,' a Patriotic Rival to Amazon

Personally, I would love to know that as I shop Amazon there are no Trumpists also shopping. I hope the guy gets all the ass clowns in his car.
I'd like to see local stores become red and blue also.
It would be a much nicer world. No more big, loud pickup trucks where I would shop, just Mercedes Audi and Infiniti.

I really hope he is successful and others follow.

You better hurry up and call shotgun, would hate for you to miss your ride.

I am not a TRumpist, you can take shotgun.
No but you meet the other requirement in spades so buckle up buttercup your car is ready for you.

How much of your own money would you be willing to invest in this new company Mike is going to start?
It depends on the nuts and bolts but if it looked like it was solid I would absolutely invest in it. I see a market to tap into if you can offer a variety of high demand products at competitive prices. If its just a souvenir shop I would pass on that.

His parents invested $250,000 when he started Amazon.

Sounds like his parents raised a good salesman who could define a clear vision demonstrating the potential of a new approach.

I'm surprised that I've not heard from Leftists that he's a rich man's son who could not have made it without his father's money.

Anyway, a visionary that saw what was and envisioned what could be.

I was amazed at some point in the past to have been told that Bezos was a bazillionaire genius running a company with a skyrocketing stock price that had not shown a profit in how ever many years it had been at the time.

I am more amazed that I can order something in the afternoon one day and trip over it on the front porch when I leave the house the following morning.

He changed not only the process of shopping, but the expectations of those who shop. Amazon has been an astonishingly successful "garage band" enterprise!

Yes but Trump Vodka never took a market share from Absolut, Trump Shuttle doesn't have a share of Southwest's business and we all know how much market share Trump's casinos currently enjoy.

Lindell is not Pepsi, never will be.

When it started out, Pepsi was not the Pepsi we know today. They were more like King Cola.

LMAO.... Amazon's story isn't about some visionary new business.... The story is relentless execution and efficient use of capital...

In its early days Pepsi (when it was a viable company, they went bankrupt more than once) was managed by very sharp CEOs and still today is recognized for its very competent leadership. Pillow Man is a raving lunatic who simply won't attract the investment needed for a substantial platform.

I take you to are skeptical about the MyPillow man IPO? 😄

Bolded part highlights a big problem and mental shift in our culture. He will never be Pepsi if he has your attitude. Most people fail before they succeed but what sets them apart is that they learn and try again. If you never try because of fear, you will never succeed.

In passing, Pepsi was not a fortune maker for its original creator who liquidated after bankruptcy.

It seems he either completely misunderstands what has made Amazon so successful or he is fully aware but using the false "rival to Amazon" angle as just a marketing ploy. Amazon got were it is by expanding to offer a massive range of products all around the world. A platform with a specific "patriotic" angle, focusing on vetting and promoting new products could certainly be successful but it would in no way be in the same market as Amazon, let alone any kind of rival.
Yea calling yourself a "rival" of Amazon's when you are just getting off the ground sounds pretty arrogant. But hey, if he can fund his legal defense preying upon the suckers that fall for that kind of stuff- more power to him.

So just kind of a "Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along".

As I see it, and, of course, I could be wrong, Amazon did EVERYTHING they did better and faster than anyone else was doing it.

They seem to still be doing so.

Walmart developed and exploited the efficiencies of the Distribution Center.

Amazon adopted those and did so in the virtual environment at the retail level.

To date, although I have not worked with any Amazon facility since retiring several months ago, Amazon seems innovative and aggressive. I assume some entity will surpass them someday.

It's hard for me to imagine Amazon getting caught in doing things the same old way while another innovator overtakes and surpasses them with better innovation and creativity.

History tells us it WILL happen.

He was a drug addict who had hit bottom and turned his life around. Creating the My Pillow might be his Occupational Therapy.

So far so good.

If he wants to do it, there's nothing to stop him but a runaway system of regulatory zealots who may descend on him at any moment.

The agents of subjugation and intimidation seem to be working against him already. Lord knows the the Woke Mobs have him targeted for cancellation.

The journey of a 1000 miles begins with a single step
Probably not a great idea to offer the products at a higher cost than what they go for on the product company's own website.

For example, Lux Blox go for (rounding up):
Lux Force Wraith - MyPillow:$28 CompSite:$24
Lux Force Scorpion - MyPillow:$28 CompSite:$24
Lux Force Banshee - MyPillow:$50 CompSite:$40
Lux Force Raider - MyPillow:$44 CompSite:$38
Note, the two below aren't actually named correctly nor technically available on his site, since you cannot pick them as an option. They should just be named Lux STEAM Inventor/Primer
Lux Force STEAM Inventor - MyPillow:$65 CompSite:$85
Lux Force STEAM Primer - MyPillow:$40 CompSite: $24

And checking out some more products, The Greatplate is not only cheaper on its own website, but it is also cheaper on Amazon by a lot. We are talking you can get 12 plates for $35 vs his price, w/ a needed promo code of 6 for $30. You can get a 6 pack of all black ones for $18.

Not that I would likely buy any of these things, but it is a gimmick to play off of the ignorance and simple stubbornness of certain people to do this sort of thing.

LOL.., He will never get to the point of an IPO..

This is the sort of myopia that has very likely led to your amazing success as a billionaire investor.

Nawww, I've just seen lots of bullshit "founders" in decades of being the tech industry... The Mike Lindell's of the industry all have similar characteristics... Quick to do press conferences and publish press releases and no concern for the details....

LMAO, okay so I think the best one so far is the $20 DVD - Florida Beach Secrets. It is literally just a DVD of different beach scenes and sounds of different beaches in Florida.

Most of it falls into just a couple of categories. Right wing/conservative apparel and products, such as books or DVDs or themed gadgets or art. Things you can find pretty much anywhere else for less.

I just loaded up a cart for the 3X5 Ny-Glo American flag and noticed a couple of interesting things... FYI... The name and address I used are not mine... ;)

1. I wonder how long Amazon is going to allow this store to use Amazon Pay.... LMAO..

2. $41.43 for a 3X5 flag... I can get a similar flag from Amazon for $12.99 plus free shipping and arrival tomorrow

3. Holy crap! $19.95 for 2-5 business day delivery? My $13 flag is now up to $61.38.... I love my country and all but damn, I can buy a lot of cheeseburgers with the $48.38 difference between MyStore and Amazon.... What are they thinking? Are they on crack? whoops, probably not a good colloquial phrase to use at MyStore...

4. For the nerds among us... The store is based on Magento.... let that sink in when you type in your credit card info...

5. Overall, I would guess there is not a lot of emergency strategy meetings at Amazon headquarters after Lindell's big announcement... :ROFLMAO:

So I actually dated a guy named Joe Bob once. That was his real name (but the last name was different).

I figured it would be worse than even those higher prices I was seeing once you got to shipping, especially considering you needed to put in a "code" to get the discount price, which was still higher.

I have searched for a pillow on and off through my whole life that works right for me.

My Pillow was a gift from the wife who has also been involved in a similar search. The price was the roadblock for me. She spends with a lesser level of price resistance.

The My Pillow is far and away the best pillow I have EVER slept on.

My Pillow has an odd pricing structure and strategy. You can pay full listed price or google a discount and get it for about half off. Not what I'd do, but I'm not a bazillionaire.

More than 10 years old.

This company has already beat the odds.
