Whew!! Talk about going bonkers on the air! My pillow guy blew a gasket and wouldn't shut up at all.

[VIDEO] Newsmax Anchor Walks Out of Mike Lindell Interview | TVLine
It’s official: MyPillow CEO/conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell is too out there even for Newsmax.

Lindell appeared on the conservative news channel Tuesday, ostensibly to discuss cancel culture in the wake of his being permanently removed from Twitter for repeated violations of its Civic Integrity policy. But when Lindell kicked off the segment by ranting about election fraud, anchor Bob Sellers quickly began speaking over him.

Lindell said that he had “100 percent proof” that Dominion Voting Systems were involved in voter fraud in the 2020 American presidential election, a claim that has no basis in fact and for which Dominion is suing Donald Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani. “Mike, you’re talking about machines that we at Newsmax have not been able to verify any of those kinds of allegations,” Sellers interjected, the statement an about-face from the pro-Trump, election-questioning stance the network assumed throughout 2020.

Lindell kept talking. Sellers did, too. And eventually, after asking producers “Can we get out of here, please?,” Sellers walked off the set, leaving co-anchor Heather Childers to try to salvage the interview.

Newsmax was making this stand not out of principle, but because they know it’s going to be entered into evidence in the defamation lawsuit.

Lindell is just an idiot.

Newsmax is afraid Dominion is going to sue them again if they let someone on their show tell the truth.

Sucks to be Newsmax.

btw, Newsmax had Lindell on later...with a different host.

Yeah, thats it.

It is Dominion controlling Newsmax, by stopping them from telling to the truth, and offering to take it all to court, and expose themselves, and examine Newsmax's claims.

Not the lawyers at Newsmax doing a cost analysis of how truthful the claims of the announcers are, and realizing theyll get steamrolled in a court regardless of how much ball sweat a judge had to drink to get Trump's nomination.

No, not that.

It doesn't cost them anything if a guest says something. It's not Newsmax saying it. But Dominion will threaten to sue if they even allow the guest on their show. Like I said, they are afraid Dominion will sue them again.

Why would they fear being sued for reporting something they know is true - they'd have no problem defending themselves if that were the case? Remember that to have a chance of winning a defamation suit Dominion would have to prove the defendants knowingly made false statements. It should be very easy for a news organisation to avoid doing that (not that many do if they think they can get away with it).

That is not true. If you have a guest spilling lies, and you dont do anything to stop them, you can be sued. Hiding behind "other people say" isnt a magical shield for lawsuits.

Lmao, I can't believe I gotta explain this to you.

You'll have to ask that show host who had a meltdown about their fear.

They had a statement all lined up for when guests started talking about election fraud. He was also probably told to steer the guest away from the topic and when Lindell kept talking, that host didn't know what to do. But his fear was so great that he asked the producer to cut it off and when they didn't, he walked off.

The network obviously have some kind of fear for all that to happen. If they believed as you do, their policy would be to just let Lindell talk.

I've seen several interviewers over-react when faced with that kind of interviewee, on all sorts of different topics. I don't see why it would necessarily have anything to do with fear of being sued, but more likely just being faced with an arrogant and intransigent interviewee and catching them on a bad day.

They had a statement all lined up for when guests started talking about election fraud.
Yes, so they have no need to worry about being sued.

If they believed as you do, their policy would be to just let Lindell talk.
If they just wanted idiots to rant all day on their channel, why would they bother having hosts at all? The purpose of inviting him on would have been to have a discussion, not simply provide him an unchallenged soapbox. Lindell clearly didn't want a discussion, he just wanted to talk. The host could have handled that better but didn't, though can sympathise. That doesn't mean he fears being sued, just that is dislikes being ranted at.

How many successful defamation lawsuits have been won against people telling the truth?

Doesn't matter. For some, just the threat of getting sued is enough to suppress the truth.

Odd. Almost every outlet has backed away from the claims against Dominion. Why so scared if they have the truth on their side?
The cost (money), not to mention the full weight of the media landing on their head with every manner of lies, spin, etc, brought to bear against them. Threats against their advertisers. Maybe even Antifa destroying their offices and their private homes.

Truth is an unassailable defense against claims of libel/slander, if he was telling the truth he would have no fear of being sued. NEWSMAX knew he wasn't, and didn't care to be party any more to the slander.

Don't be naive. It's a business decision on the part of Newsmax. When it comes to the business, the truth doesn't matter.

See my post #15.

Yes, it’s a business decision.

If they believed it was true, snd they were an actual news organization, they would air it.

Since they aren’t an actual news organization and also know the allegations are bullshit, they know they will lose in court.

Their ‘business’ is to shovel untruthful crap into gullible mouths, as long as it isn’t going to land them as defendants in a civil lawsuit.

Surely Dominion has to consider the cost of taking so many different entities to court. Why are they pursuing this if the truth is not on their side?

Your 'Donald Trump is my hero' view of life is disturbingly incorrect.

what "truth" would that be?

If Lindell has 100% proof that the Dominion machines switched votes then he should produce it. It is easy to say I have proof. Not so easy to produce it.
It is like someone saying they can walk through walls. When asked to demonstrate, the answer is another time.

Hahahahaha

Man, you are required to post the stupidest bullshit. Truth is a complete defense to defamation. If Newsmax were telling the truth, it could prove it in court and perhaps scoop up attorney's fees to boot.

Newsmax knew it was lying and knew Pillowman was lying. Newsmax knew it would have to shut down in Dominion sued because Dominion would win. That's why they stopped telling those moronic lies about voter fraud that YOU, Mycroft, are still required to tell. And it's also why they corrected Pillowman.

Have they actually sued anybody? Are there any actual court dates?

All I've seen is them threatening to sue. Talk is cheap...doesn't cost much at all.

What's also weird is Mycroft has been saying that there has been fraud for months now. Yet he also hasn't provided a lick of verifiable evidence (if any at all).

One must wonder...

Talk is cheap...but so is backing away and issuing retractions. Why so many retractions? Why not call their bluff? Surely one outlet will try to go to court with Dominion, no?
