Good, bad, thoughts?

I mean, it's kinda horrifying no matter which way you look at it. It's horrifying that Twitter is such a powerful force the media landscape. It is horrifying that we have people who are wealthy enough they can as an individual purchase and control such a large part of our internet. We shouldn't have corporations as powerful as Twitter at all, and we certainly shouldn't have individuals powerful enough to purchase them outright.

While I appreciate what a force twitter is, I still really don't care one way or the other. Never used it, and don't expect I will.
And if not twitter, there are lots of other means by which idiots can spread misinformation.

You have to remember that "Freedom of the Press" means that ANYONE is at liberty to acquire ANY means of communication (by buying it if need be) and then to use it for whatever purpose they desire.

Already a huge thread on this
